I highly recommend Firefly, it's a great show, and very smartly written (the great thing about Joss Whedon shows is that the characters tend to act like they've watched a show or two from their genre, and thus don't act like complete doofs).

If you do end up enjoying the show, there are also some tie-in comics that expand a bit on the characters.

O.M.G!!!!!! Wow yeah I guess it's like the holy grail of towels or something. Wow damn! I could just see my son's face as he unwrapped this, damn.
I had a customer leave to go pick up a car for his teen age daughter and I thought, my son would be more stoked about this towel than a car. Sad? Meh, he really wants a moped but would still be more surprised by this towel.... :/
