Any Magic: The Gathering nerds around here?

I have 800+ cards from like gen 4-5 on back, over 12 years old. I had this bright idea to go to tge local MTG night recently. I lasted 10 minutes before the insane over the top nerd level got to me. I dont even think nerd is the right label. I do play the MGT on xbox and its pretty cool.

As for WoW. Two 90s running raids but this will be my next game of choice...

See, what's new and nerdy for me lately...

Started up a new Mass Effect 3 game, decided that BroShep should get a chance to save the galaxy now that FemShep has had her run through it.

Upgraded the memory in my laptop to 16 gigs, despite a stripped screw preventing me from properly removing a cover panel (that panel bent out of the way quite well, but now doesn't *close* properly. Sigh.)

Bought a new multitool (basically Swiss Army Pliers). It's pretty spiff.

i've been a Lord of the Rings devotee for over 20 years now, and i'm also an airline employee. i'll admit it - i teared up while watching that!

when Fellowship hit the movie theatres, it was literally like someone had brought my dreams to life.

Have you tried the Tolkien Professor podcast?

it's on itunes & has a rss feed on the website. really facinating stuff about Tolkien & his works.
