Oops meant Ravens, but anyways the Raiders still 37 million under the cap with Crosby back according to overthecap. This after the Raiders spent a ton of money on Monday. Plus the fact that Crosby now knows that the Raiders donāt want him anymore.
He kinda knew this at the end of last season when he was told to basically throw the final game so they could get first pick in the draft. He said, āUm fuck that. I play football to winā (Iām paraphrasing) and they benched himā¦pretty sure the ādonāt wantā goes both ways from that point on.This after the Raiders spent a ton of money on Monday. Plus the fact that Crosby now knows that the Raiders donāt want him anymore.
This whole situation is a huge mess!Crosby to the Raiders OUT, failed the physical.

They are by far worse off because they no longer have their Center. I am not sure many understand how important that position is? They could have resigned him. People say he was asking too much. Yet ..he got it...so was it? I think the Raiders picking up Linderman is the most impactful FA move....even before Crosby deal got nixxedI donāt know what Crosbyās condition is but the Ravens have done this a number of times in the past. Maybe theyāre just fucking with other teams.![]()
This is what I said last night to husband - I mean I donāt know that there are many defensive veterans who would be worth 2 first round picks (though if the Chargers would get a line for Herbert Iād be good with it). An aging vet with a knee injury recently? Yeah heās a great player but for how long?My guess they did an MRI on his knee and saw far more damage than they hoped there was...and given his age...decided it wasn't worth 2 First Round picks.
I laughed my ass off when the story broke. Itās just such a Raiders type of thing.Crosby to the Raiders OUT, failed the physical.

Likely buyers remorse and used the injury to get out of the deal.I donāt know what Crosbyās condition is but the Ravens have done this a number of times in the past. Maybe theyāre just fucking with other teams.![]()
I totally agree with you. Linderbaum is a huge pickup for the Raiders major loss for Baltimore. They are by far worse off because they no longer have their Center. Maxx is absolutely worth the two first round picks. Heās only 28 and if heās fully rehabbed heās a game changer. Hopefully the physical news is just a ploy by the Ravens to sweeten the deal. This is what I said last night to husband - I mean I donāt know that there are many defensive veterans who would be worth 2 first round picks (though if the Chargers would get a line for Herbert Iād be good with it). Helps if autocorrect doesn't change his name for me. But yea...I totally agree with you. Linderbaum is a huge pickup for the Raiders major loss for Baltimore.

He could stay with the Raiders if they canāt find another trading partner but my guess is there were more than a few teams interested in him. Raiders are unlikely to get as sweet of an offer as Baltimore made but theyāll do fine. But itās not out of the question that he plays in Vegas. Thereās no bad blood between Maxx and the team.Crosby still has to get traded right? They obviously don't want him there and he doesn't want to be there either.
But the asking price has to come down, maybe a 2nd and a future pick is all I'd pay.
Thereās no bad blood between Maxx and the team.
He was disappointed because itās in his nature to want to be on the field no matter what, but the team made a football decision and he understood and accepted it.There isnāt? Wasnāt he pissed last year when they benched him because he didnāt want to tank?
