The new football thread

There isn’t? Wasn’t he pissed last year when they benched him because he didn’t want to tank?
That’s what I said!

I think is a beast and a player and will still play like the usual monster he is if he ends up staying with the Raiders - but he’d be happier somewhere else.

As a Charger fan I’m hoping he finds a new home because Herbert needs a break!

I’ve been seeing all kinds of rumors and theories today…
1. Brady knew that Crosby wouldn’t pass a physical but that Baltimore couldn’t keep Linderbaum AND get Crosby so made sure to get him signed before the physical knowing Baltimore would discover the issue (saw one report that Crosby couldn’t touch his toes?) and it would be too late to resign Linderbaum. So I think Brady is this smart? No. Do I think he’s this conniving and underhanded? Absolutely-fucking-lutely!
2. The Bengals pass rusher (his name escapes me…Tyrel? Tyler?) became available and Baltimore decided he would be a better pick up.

Those are the two conspiracy theories I’ve seen today…

Also Brady is rumored to adamantly not want to trade with the Patriots, doesn’t want to help Vrabel and the Patriots get better, but who knows if that’s true, what I do believe is he holds a grudge against Kraft for siding with Belichick in the whole drama when Brady went to Bucs

I’m surprised no one is talking about the ridiculousness of Tua going to Atlanta!

WHY?? Tua needs to retire and open his car dealership before he can’t form a sentence. Didn’t watch a lot of the Falcons last season but I’m thinking their line isn’t like super STELLAR considering Penix didn’t play the last half of the season?

Tua isn't a bad QB...he just is far from elite being the first overall pick of a draft. Too many things against him...like playing for a team that can't identify what a concussion is...being short...and sorry...being a lefty. It was a smart pickup by Atlanta cause they got a backup for 1.3 million total. The other 53 million is coming from Miami.

The best FA QB in my opinion is Willis and Miami signed him. So much for his future. But what choice did he have? GB didn't want to pay him and he wants to start. At least it wasn't the Jets...but I heard rumors they tried to get him (?)

I absolutely agree about Tua’s ability. My comment is about the fact that he shouldn’t be playing at all because he’s one good hit away from having to learn his ABCs again.

I am not sure that hit hasn't already happened.

On a side about Maxx Crosby...Diana Russini (sp?) just reported the Ravens felt his recovery was acceptable for playing the full 26 season. The problem was all the outside doctors saying they didn't think the knee would survive 2 years...let alone 3. That's why they pulled the offer. If that is true...no one is going to take him on a long term contract. So basically, Raiders are stuck with him.

Edit: It looks like the Raiders knew his knee wouldn't last...and they are the ones that tried to pull a fast one ( cheaters cheat) not the Ravens
