I've been crocheting all day today. Actually, I've been crocheting a lot these days. I am making some things for other people for gifts and at the same time searching desperately for a shawl, stole or capelette pattern for myself. (￣ー￣) So far I haven't found anything I really like. I have this pretty sleeveless dress that I want to wear but I need something for my shoulders. I know what I want it to look like, but can't find anything that is even remotely close. :sigh: Me and my fancy dreams...

I wish, I know what I want but I'm really not sure how to make the shape. There are charted patterns, but I have yet to tackle learning charts.

I want something beautiful like this.

Miss Meeks! that looks like a rectangular stole all gathered up at the ends. I have no doubts you can do that! And it's maybe some kind of shell-like stitch in the body?

For some reason I kept thinking maybe it was worked in the round. 0_o;; But what you've said makes sense (I can see the folds now). I finally looked at it in my browser (Etsy auto directs to the app) and zoomed in. It does appear to be square with the ends pulled in. Hm, you've given me a great idea. Shells are fairly easy to do, too. Perhaps I'll experiment a little.

I'm starting to think I might have a problem with spiders. (´･_･`) I had a dream about spiders taking over the city. They built webs everywhere and were poisonous. The whole city was told that if they found the spiders they should kill all of them quickly. When it was time for bed Mister assured me that things were fine, but I felt uneasy. I don't really know when or how I became aware, but he purposely left a small spider pod hanging right above our bed.

He insisted we were safe and he just wanted to see it come out and then he would take care of it. But I freaked out and was upset he would let it sit there all night while we slept. The spider emerged and Mister killed it, but I woke up feeling uneasy.

The only bad dreams I have lately are ones with spiders...

Mister brought home these huge pots with big plants in them. A coworker was moving and couldn't bring them with her, so she asked if we wanted them. I agreed, but didn't think about how they have lived outside all this time. I managed to save a baby frog yesterday. I found one dead this morning. And today while I was going to close the window on my back porch my heart jumped into my throat because something moved in the plant closest to me. (O_O)

I don't know what else is in the plants. (>_<) I don't really want to know...

I freaked out yesterday, standing at the kitchen sink when all of the sudden something zipped across the windowsill After the initial shock, I realized it was a little lizard/salamander thingy. Great! There's no catching those things, kitties will get to him first So now I'm feeding a salamander out of bottle caps, hoping it gets away somehow
