Wow... that's very organised of you!All my down stairs is vacuumed ( around piles of junk.....I am only so virtuous) And I have dusted too. My laundry from yesterday is folded and upstairs, putting it away is this evenings chore, the junk mail is recycled, the dog is groomed, the late breakfast eaten....
I'm lucky to have a good sports massage therapist who put me through agonies throughout my training period before the event in order to condition me and reduce the chances of injury. I had a post-race massage that confirmed that I hadn't done any significant damage (just the expected soreness) and I'm due another more intensive one tomorrow. Hopefully that'll set me on the right track while I rebuild my constitution and energy reserves.I am impressed you can move around so well, I suppose it shows your preparation is really good! G runs too! but not marathons! just for fun. He had an option to run London marathon on behalf of charity he has connection with but had to decline because of conflict, I think I was more disappointed than him. I think though he would be sore afterwards. .
For a moment there, I thought you said that G carries the dog on the treadmill! He runs on the treadmill in the City twice a day but on real terrain when in the sticks ( he often has to carry the dog he takes because the dog gets tired or bored)
I guess it depends on the size of the dog. I imagine that it might be a bit unwieldy for a labrador.G finds the treadmill less challenging, but also, not so much fun. ( maybe because he is not carrying the dog? ). I suggested recently he consider a dog carrier like a rick sack, but it might be a pain to take .
I'm back! 26.2 miles of running completed, with a marathon finishers' medal to show for it, and not much by way of damage. Indeed, I've been walking around today as if floating on Cloud Nine. Please allow me to celebrate for a moment.

Our bigger dog doesn't go running, only the terrier. The terrier will go alL day....but at a different pace to G...he would find it easier of it were more walking then sprinting, the steady run he finds boring. Because they are doing road running he cannot just follow at his own pace. In truth I think he would hate a carry bag. ( he is very, very active) but he slows G down at times.
They have quite a reputation as a recognisable pair.
Thanks! It feels like one.Congratulations!!!
That is a great achievement.
Oh yes! It's not very pleasant (it's not even painful in a good way) but it seems effective for preventative and reactive maintenance. The massage sounds like a very good thing too.
No wonder you wanted to buy those flat shoes.I have realised that due to my fear of heights I won't be going back to Wembley, at least not that high up, again. I managed it ok on the day. But then woke up from a nightmare that night and again last night. Guess I repressed it well at the time but it has just bubbled up in my dreams instead Actually is more of a fear of falling a very long way
No wonder you wanted to buy those flat shoes.

It used to be scary when it was blurry and in black and white. You're quite safe now, though; you won't see any scary blurry monochromatic monsters in modern Doctor Who.Anyway, enough. I will watch something distracting before bed. Dr Who maybe. That's never scary

Just to let you all know, dad passed away peaceful late last night. I'll be back soon. Love to all.
