The NEW UK Kink Thread

All my down stairs is vacuumed ( around piles of junk.....I am only so virtuous) And I have dusted too. My laundry from yesterday is folded and upstairs, putting it away is this evenings chore, the junk mail is recycled, the dog is groomed, the late breakfast eaten....
Wow... that's very organised of you! :)

I've also done quite well this morning, but I think that's largely because it's a pleasant surprise to me that I'm able to move around freely, and even work seems like a celebration of that. :D
.

I am impressed you can move around so well, I suppose it shows your preparation is really good! G runs too! but not marathons! just for fun. He had an option to run London marathon on behalf of charity he has connection with but had to decline because of conflict, I think I was more disappointed than him:D. I think though he would be sore afterwards. :D.
I'm lucky to have a good sports massage therapist who put me through agonies throughout my training period before the event in order to condition me and reduce the chances of injury. I had a post-race massage that confirmed that I hadn't done any significant damage (just the expected soreness) and I'm due another more intensive one tomorrow. Hopefully that'll set me on the right track while I rebuild my constitution and energy reserves. :)

He runs on the treadmill in the City twice a day but on real terrain when in the sticks ( he often has to carry the dog he takes because the dog gets tired or bored)
For a moment there, I thought you said that G carries the dog on the treadmill!

I've not been able to get on with treadmills -- for some reason, my running motion on them is really unnatural, uncomfortable and unsustainable. :(
..

G finds the treadmill less challenging, but also, not so much fun. ( maybe because he is not carrying the dog? :D). I suggested recently he consider a dog carrier like a rick sack, but it might be a pain to take .
I guess it depends on the size of the dog. I imagine that it might be a bit unwieldy for a labrador.
.

I'm back! 26.2 miles of running completed, with a marathon finishers' medal to show for it, and not much by way of damage. Indeed, I've been walking around today as if floating on Cloud Nine. Please allow me to celebrate for a moment. :nana::nana::nana:

.

Congratulations!!!
That is a great achievement.

The massage sounds like a very good thing too.

Our bigger dog doesn't go running, only the terrier. The terrier will go alL day....but at a different pace to G...he would find it easier of it were more walking then sprinting, the steady run he finds boring. Because they are doing road running he cannot just follow at his own pace. In truth I think he would hate a carry bag. ( he is very, very active) but he slows G down at times.

They have quite a reputation as a recognisable pair. :D

Hee hee, it is so sweet he will carry the dog :)

I have realised that due to my fear of heights I won't be going back to Wembley, at least not that high up, again. I managed it ok on the day. But then woke up from a nightmare that night and again last night. Guess I repressed it well at the time but it has just bubbled up in my dreams instead :( Actually is more of a fear of falling a very long way

Thanks! It feels like one. :D

Oh yes! It's not very pleasant (it's not even painful in a good way) but it seems effective for preventative and reactive maintenance.

No wonder you wanted to buy those flat shoes. ;)

Hmm, maybe if I stuck glue to the bottom of the shoes once sat at the scary height... But then there would still be the getting there and getting out. And wouldn't detract from the enormous potential drop my eyes are feeding into my terrified brain.

Anyway, enough. I will watch something distracting before bed. Dr Who maybe. That's never scary ;)

It used to be scary when it was blurry and in black and white. You're quite safe now, though; you won't see any scary blurry monochromatic monsters in modern Doctor Who. ;)
*giggles and runs away*

True, but sometimes in recent series they have been good at the scaring one to death without the monster looking scary or it not being clear what the monsters are.

For example, not sure I could bring myself to watch again the weeping angels, or Silence in the Library.

Yeah, maybe I will stick with an episode of How i met your mother instead :)

Hee, it is not a new 'thing'. But thank you anyway :)

I have been owned and collared by Master for a while. Although it is mentioned in my profile, I recently thought I would put it in my signature partly to ward off unwanted private messages and also because it is important to me so want to be upfront about it :D

I know it means different things to different people, but Master and I know what we both mean by it and it delights us both, so I am happy. :)

Just to let you all know, dad passed away peaceful late last night. I'll be back soon. Love to all.
