Fetlife's good. The best way I describe it is 'Facebook for kinksters'. I've met some friends there (online and off) who are awesome people.

I can't recommend munches more to people! I went to my first one a month ago (yet have been involved in the lifestyle since est.2008) so it definitely took me a while to get my ass in gear. Master didn't go, but I've got a range of kinksters as friends who I'd tag along with, and I'd probably go by myself as well.

Definitely! Even if you don't get on with them in the D/s dynamic sense, there's still plenty of chances to make friends on the vanilla side of life at munches as well. It's helped me get out of my shell a lot, as moving house kind of had me restricted (not in a bad way, but still quite limited) to my Master's circle of friends, so the local munches and scene in general gives me another social circle outside of that. With some cross-over!
