The NEW UK Kink Thread

Cheers Malich, I know the Bizarre Bazaar quite well :D I believe I may take up my bro's offer to stay at his new house in Brum next time it is on :D

I made up with minn Jarl ^^ We discussed it and while things are a little rocky, they are for the most part back to normal with the boundaries all properly defined.

Hi all and welcome thelaughingcat (I imagine the cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland) :)

Elle - ah, good to know there are lots of musicians around here. I am very amateur, but can fiddle around enough to satisfy my desire to sing along :)

Been a busy week working too hard and playing too hard

Managed to meet up with my oldest friend ever after not seeing her for about 8 years, which was delightful. Got to another, smaller, munch and met more lovely kinky people. And got to spend a bit of time with Master mid-week - awesome.

Now for a very long sleep...!!

Definitely both

You have a tiara? I am impressed. How fabulous! And to have an outfit that a tiara would actually go with - even better.

For various reasons I am having to re-stock my wardrobe slowly. I hadn't considered a tiara as a must-have item, must be said.

I realised on Friday with a sigh that my landlord is tidier than me. Damn it! Hadn't expected that. Must try harder

I've been talking clothes with G this weekend, there are two day dresses I like in shops and some slouchy trousers for yoga and relaxed days that look 'useful' but I am finding it hard to justify as I don't think I look good and my wardrobe ATM reflects this. The only way to get out of the rut is to spend, but its hard to spend when you have poor self opinion. :(. I don't have any shopping chums any more...G is hopeless and just says to get every thing and I am equally hopeless and get nothing because I hate what I see so much.:eek:

I could really do with stopping buying very basic cheap stuff and wearing it to death. I have a beautiful wardrobe that no longer fits. :(. And some tat that reminds me of good times that really I should ditch too. I also feel I should go through my shoes and say good bye to some too.( some are ugly, but still I dither) I try and get G to help me, but when he sees me dither he says 'keep them'. he has even pulled some out of the recycling bags because he didn't like me being concerned by their departure.

Otoh...the dress I got married in....gone already , don't need that, have him. :D

Lucybee, what stuff do you need? I would recommend buying few, quality pieces, second hand if need be, and building around that. If you want private second opinions feel free to PM me.

Oh bless you - I suffer somewhat the same with self opinion and lacking shopping friends but Master has a good eye for what might suit me and has encouraged me so I have had enough confidence to try out a different "look". Mainly cheaper clothes for now, but I am happy with that for now as I am experimenting with my wardrobe

If you ever want to go on a shopping spree in London, I'll be there... :D

Yes, in the medium term I know fewer, better quality items will be on the agenda. I have a _few_, so not too worried at present.

I think I am sorted on my summer wardrobe now. But just aware that autumnal weather will suddenly arrive and not sure summer dresses will cut it then. Yes, you might get a PM or two when that adventure begins!! Feel free to do the same plus to chat re self image/self esteem - no expert, just been fighting that demon a long time.

Today was episode 5 of the great flat shoe hunt. I have been wanting a pair of slip-on flat shoes for ages. But just as they slip on, they just slip off again!! Rubbish, huh? But today :D I found a plausible pair. They are a bit clingy so can't run off by themselves.

Ggnnnarrggh!!! *yawns* Morning all, is it Monday already? Hope everybody got a bit of sun this weekend :)

Ah, the great clothes debate! It really is so much easier for us blokes: spring - jeans/t-shirt/fleece; summer - jeans/t-shirt; autumn - jeans/t-shirt/fleece; winter - jeans/t-shirt/big woolly jumper. And if our choice (ie. the top ones on the pile) aren't suitable for the occasion, our better halves will soon tell us to go and try again :D Seriously though ladies, we do try, we just rarely attach that much importance to it

Morning all

Currently feeling veiny and homicidal after an e-mail from work. 3 weeks ago some troglodyte gave me gyp over some documents and it took me 10 days to figure out what he wanted me to add to make them corrrect as he couldn't seem to get what I was asking for.

This weekend i gave up a chunk of my time visiting parents to do some more for this client which meant sending them to the same assessor who rejected them without even reading them because "I included documents he didn't think were necessary"

I'd not mind so much but the document he didn't think was necessary was for almost identical works to what the document 3 weeks ago covered. Therefore, if it was necessary then for that site what makes him think it's not going to be necessary this week for this site.

Arrrghhhh!!!!!

Morning LittleBambi, put your feet up, I was just going to put the kettle on :)

Arrgh, paperwork and procedure, the bane of my life (even though I wrote half of them for this place!!). And now more people are moving to cordless phones, you can't even strangle them with the phone lead any more.

Afternoon all! Hope you all had productive weekends?

I went all grown-up and bought a new mattress (after about 8 years I thought it was about time...) - looking forward to testing it out! :D

Ah, what mattress did you buy? We are considering this important purchase too, but have differing opinions. At the moment the front runner seems to be the EVE mattress only because we seem to want different things from sprung mattress, but neither of us are sure about a foam/ latex one. We tried a tempur one and G didn't like the sinking feeling, and it think that once sunk the way it holds one might make sleeping nice but might make loving feel a bit like wading through wet sand.
Hi!

I went with the SilentNight Miracoil Ortho Sleep (I think, they have very similar names...)

I don't like memory foam mattresses - to me it feels like sleeping on sweaty skin. I'm a hotbod so I like to be cool when I sleep. The mattress I got has been designed to stay cool, which is excellent for me :)

It's definitely the mattress buying time of year!
I just bought my daughter one and one for me. I went on eBay and got a 3000 pocket sprung, pillow topped bed, direct from the manufacturer.

Need to get my butt in gear, I'm struggling this week. My get up and go, got up and went!

Hugs to Mal for the very awkward customers!

Really looking forward to Birmingham, I will make some pretty things to bring with me.
Elle, don't worry about clothes. You will see all sorts there and no one will look twice! Black is always the safe option.

Mattresses, now there's a subject that we haven't done before :) Actually, I could do with a new one myself, now I come to think about it.

Would love to go to BBB and meet you all, but not to be I'm afraid  Maybe one day.

Anybody heard from Lally?

Got a new mattress when i got my new bed when I moved in here. It's a dense solid foam one. not memory foam, just foam. I love it, great for my back... the few other people who've sat on it think its awful. :)

Today got progressively worse from a documentation POV. I did a huge online form for someone, submitted it when then got a call from the person it went to asking why I had submitted a blank form! All the data got lost between me clicking send and the other chap opening it back up.

Then having finally gotten the guy to read the documents I did at the weekend he's decided to reject them again this time for some chicken shit reasons.

Some people should not be given power. it goes to their heads.

Morning all, it's bright new day!! Is everybody happy?

I need to try lots of other people's beds I think. I don't know how well this would go down..."hello, may I sleep next to you for a couple of nights to test your mattress? ".
An hour in a bed shop just is not enough.

Now THAT's a line I've never tried :D

Too right! And I always feel so uneasy about just lying down in the middle of a shop. I'm a sprawler when I sleep but don't fancy trying to get comfortable in front of a room of bed-hunters and one awkward looking staff member...
