I believe mine just recently got swept. I knew something strange had happened when my very old story dropped about a tenth of a point very suddenly. It looks to be about where it was before that oddity.

My other work seems to have been swept as well. I guess it runs through one user at a time whatever mechanism it is.

Interesting that I received a couple of comments and a feedback calling out they wished the people at the end who were 'cursed' had a happier ending.

I appreciate their opinion, but my thought is...A, this is a Halloween story so a light and fluffy ending didn't fit to me. B...have you ever known a curse to have a great effect on people?

That's my experience with last years. People were heated the mc didn't get his revenge. Well it was his fault, he should've used the spell he was told to.

Damn... now I'm thinking of a follow up where he does, but they'd like it if I did that.

Well, I guess that is an advantage to the low vote/readers count: biggest sweep jump I’ve seen in a long time: from 4.6 with 15 votes to 4.85 with 13 votes. Nowhere near 25 votes anyway, but a dozen or so liked it at least. Those two removed votes must have hit early as the story had been struggling to stay ‘H’ since it landed.

Have the winners been announced?
Last night my Halloween entry jumped 5 ticks but it also went up one vote (by my calulations that vote had to be at least a 20)
This morning it went up another 6 ticks but 4 votes evaporated.

"Lust Demon's Orgy" has lost 7 votes and climbed .09 points (4.36 to 4.45).
"By Voice and By Candle" has lost 1 vote and climbed .18 points (4.35 to 4.53) to be awarded a red H.

"The Countesses of Tannensdal", which for whatever reason wasn't entered into the contest, has lost 1 rating and gone from 4.73 to 4.9.

I got a pretty good sweep bump. Eight votes removed and the score went from 4.48 to 4.63. Not winning territory, but a respectable score.

My story, "Pumpkin Spice", lost five votes but only jumped up 0.03 points to 4.72 because of a very good number of votes (1 vote per 28.5 views). I'm happy with everything except the number of overall views. There was a very early, very low vote that dropped the score into the mid 3s for a long while and succeeded in really depressing the normal in-category views on the first day (when the largest number of views occur). Between that from the category page and the huge number of entries in the contest spreading out readers' views, this story still finishes the contest with very good stats overall but my second lowest number of views ever.

Thanks! But it never made it into the contest, which is probably both a blessing and a curse. Blessing, because it hasn't attracted many of the numerous 3s that have been sprinkled around so liberally. Curse, because it didn't attract many other votes either, or even readers. That 4.9 score is based on 10 ratings!

It’s crazy isn’t it? Comps seem to bring out bad behavior. My first one lost 6 votes and went from 4.41 to 4.61. My second is still hovering at 4.49, but I threw it together for something else, then thought it fit the comp theme. So no harm, no foul.

I had a good bump too went from 4.5 to 4.68 with 4 votes pulled. My "fanclub" is very enthusiastic

I think the ones currently in the lead are rated at 4.86, 4.83, and 4.83, although there may still be sweeps happening. There are enough at 4.83 that a tiebreaker might be required. Not sure if that's by extra decimals, total votes, or some other metric.

Baptism in Blood is now firmly at 4.48, two more points, and it'll be where I want it to be.

Mine are currently sitting around a 4.83, 4.74 and 4.62.

They were all written for the Karaoke event and just happened to cross the Halloween theme so I submitted for both.

I could've adjusted one to fit Amorous Goods as well, but that felt like pushing it and I was all written out by then.
