Smiles at his reaction, amused greatly

Thank you, I would like that.

Turn to join him, walking into the Outlook

He returns her smile with an impish grin before he turns and strolls over to the bar, but pauses since she didn't specify anything at all. He halts midstep to spin, glancing over his shoulder.

"Right, what would you like? It's a full open bar here."

He gives her a quick wink.

"I'm Noon, by the way."

Just a rum and coke, please.

And my name is Aura.

Flashes him a grin and slips nimbly past him and behind the bar, plucking a bottle from the wall and a glass from the shelf

Can I make you someething?

He nods back at her, noticing her grin. Right, nice to meet you Aura."

He was about to slip over to mix a drink for her when he felt her slip past him, jumping ahead to grab herself a glass. He perked an eyebrow at her, amused, as he glanced at the bottle she was holding.

"Oh, so you're going to just take over the bar then? Well if you're mixing drinks, I wouldn't mind another Bay Breeze." Noon glanced over his shoulder toward the table where he'd been sitting, seeing his drink still resting there.

"Or would you still like me to mix you drink for you?" He glanced back at her, his lips quirking with amusement at having been displaced so quickly.

Smiles and starts whipping the ingredients in trick throws around the bar area

I can assure you, I am capable of making a Bay Breeze.

Flicks Vodka and cranberry juice into a glass, then rolls some coke into another, smacking it to knock the bubbles to the top

He chuckles at her as he watches her working quickly, and accepts his drink from here. "Good to know."

Noon takes a quick sip of his drink and then glances back out at the railing before looking back to his companion. "So what brings you here tonight?"

He begins making his way back over to the railing, scooping up his other beverage in one hand, and then quickly finishing it off, setting it down on another table along the way.

Frowns at his reteating back, then pours the reccomended amount of rum into the glass

Just looking for some company.

Sloshes a little more rum into the glass

He nods and smiles, then leans over onto the rail, glancing back on her, giving her a quick nod and an inviting smile. "Well I can always appreciate that. Glad you could join me."

He then grins at her playfully. "So come on and join me." He chuckles as he leans over looking down at the view, holding the glass in one hand, listening to the distant sound of waves crashing up against the beach. The tide was coming in, and the breeze whipping in along with it, making for violent, loud waves.

Grabs my drink and walk over to the rail, a good six feet away from Noon.
I dont forget slights easily.

Noon glances over at her as she slides away from him, and then inclines his head in concession, nodding at her. "My apologies. I really do seem to be forgetting my manners tonight."

He smiles at her slightly, studying her for a second, before he looked down toward the beach once again.

He glances at her as she retreats, and then sighs for a moment, debating for a moment. Well, he'd just wanted to be friendly, so he decides that he'd best follow through and see if he can make some kind of amend, even if it threatens to seem a bit pestering. So he decides to take his lumps as he carries his drink over to a seat next to her.

He gives her a since smile as he glances at her, and nods.
"Please forgive my poor manners. I'm happy for the company as well-with no intention of being rude. I thank you for mixing my drink..." he takes a quick sip, "it's quite good."

He looks away for a moment, pondering, and then shakes his head. "So how is your evening going?"

Smiles warmly and does nothing to stop him sitting down

I'm glad you like it.

And my evening, right now, is looking to begin getting interesting.

I also forgive easily, if asked right

Noon returns her smile and then raises his glass up, clinking against hers. "Cheers," he says, quietly, sipping at his drink before setting it down on a convenient end table. HE turns slightly toward his companion, pleased with her forgiveness.

"True. It is a rather lovely evening. It's a nice time for me to slip back into my routine around here-I'd fallen off of writing, and now I'm trying to get rebooted so I can resume working on story ideas. It's nice to have such a lovely companion to converse with as I resettle."

Nods, tapping the glass on the table before drinking from it

I see....

He chuckles softly at her noncommital response, shaking his head slightly. He glances down at her again, studying her for a moment.

"So why don't you tell me a little about yourself? I'm already talking easily enough about myself-I'd hate to dominate the conversation too much."

He turns toward her slightly, perking an eyebrow attentively.

Shrugs, taking another sip from the glass

What is there to tell? I'm here, I write, I hang out and meet people. I have no truly interesting hobbies, nor do I live in a particularily interesting place.

Chuckles softly

The only thing that's at all interesting about me is the ability to phase in and out at will. Other than that, I'm really quite boring.

He smiles and nods back at her. "Well, I suppose that's true of the most of the rest of us here. We write, hang out, and occasionally jab back and forth with snarky comments. What's why I'm so at home here."

He chuckles back at her. "Well, I'm sure we all wish we could phase in and out at will...though some other people around here also seem to that same capability, surprisingly." He shrugs slightly.

"What kind of stories do you enjoy writing? Or perhaps, more appropriately, what sort of settings do you prefer? Myself, I generally write in more sci-fi, or sometimes historical settings, with the occasional fantastical world thrown in."

"And most of my stories tend to take the lines of dragging women down into the world of the depraved."
He grins at her wickedly.

"What sort of things interest you?"

Shrugs

Phasing is sort of like colour blindness. Relativley common among certain groups. I wonder if it affects more men than women......

Drifts off into thought for a moment, thinking of survey parameters

Anyways, I mostly like real-world or alternate reality settings. I find sci-fi to be a bit too cliche, but historical settings are a surprising amount of fun to play around with. In general, I enjoy settings where the rules of the real world don't quite apply. Physics, of course, must apply, but I find it fun to mess with societal norms a little. It makes people think.

Although I wonder what could happen if physics got bent a little....

"Well, naturally, it means that you've stepped into the Matrix. Do you think that's air you're breathing?" He winks at her teasingly and then finds his drink behind him, cupping his glass to take another sip from it before setting it down.

"But you're right, he idea of bending physics does present some interesting possibilities." He chuckles again, nodding, giving her a bit of a wicked glint before he speaks again.

"But yes, I know what you mean. I've played around with some historical settings, and pushed the boundaries of cultural norms, or at least, used them to create a setting where I've got something to push against....I do enjoy pushing right up to the breaking point, and then lingering there for a moment before such things snap helplessly."

He winked at her teasingly.

Grins and picks up his glass, phasing it and the hand holding it out of this plane of existance

There is no glass.

Waves the armstump and pulls it back into phase again, glass in hand

And what would be an example of such amusements?

Sets the drink back down before you

He grins back at her, and tips his head to her in acknowledgment of her trick. His eyes flash in amusement.

"Oh, well, I've had a couple of stories in which I've taken some very proper Victorian women, and seduced them, working against their sense of propriety, and enjoyed introducing them to their inner slut. Those certainly amuse me, especially if you let the matter waver a little bit on the precipice."

He eves her a teasing wink and leans in close, glancing down at her and letting his gaze wander down her figure adventurously before sliding back up to her face, watching her eyes for a moment. "What sort of things would you find amusing?"

Hmmm... I prefer stories based on logic and sound reasoning more than simple seduction.

Leans back in the chair, rolling a last few ounces of liquid about in the glass

I find it makes for a more entertaining story. One can break free from a seduction, but logic has a much firmer hold.

He ponders that for a moment, studying her, and then shakes his head. "Well, perhaps what I find amusement in is the denial of logic. I apply too much logic to get my shit working every day. Sometimes, it's best to just put it aside and let more sinful enticements take over."

He smirked at her.

"But perhaps we can debate the point further some other time. I really should get to sleep so I can push through Friday all the way to the weekend."

Noon smiles and leans in, pressing a quick kiss to her cheek, and letting his hand press against her hip for a moment before he rises to his feet. He takes the last of his drink, downing it. "It's been a pleasure talking to you, and getting to know you Aura. Hopefully we'll talk again in the future."

He takes his glass back to the sink, quickly rinsing it out and leaving it with the dirty dishes as he strolls out.

"Good night," he calls over his shoulder.
