I just want to thank james r scouries for his foresight in establishing The ASSOCIATION of INDEPENDENT READERS (AI.R.). It has proven to be a godsend for all the readers and authors of LITEROTICA. And the fact that it’s an independent body just adds more credence to the "Most Comments Received List" and the "Most Votes Received List". And all of us should thank our lucky stars that the wonderful Gabrielle L. has freely volunteered her services for the betterment of the site. If only others would do as much.

Harris, 21, and Spence, 21, are both seniors and both graduated from Miami Northwestern High, where Spence’s father Sam is a physical education teacher. Spence’s mother Crystal is the principal of Hialeah Gardens Middle School. When reached by phone, Crystal Spence said she had not heard the news.

Crystal Spence is right on. President Shalala isn’t ready to take any responsibility or punishment. It wasn’t her responsibility she says even though she opened her door to the criminal. And the two Athletic Directors who were involved certainly aren’t stepping up to the plate. One, Paul Dee, is living in luxury in retirement. It wasn’t his fault he proclaims to all and sundry.

And the other one, Kirby Hocutt, he bailed out when he knew what was coming down the pipe by taking a high paying job at Texas Tech. And he just happened to forget to mention to his successor or the football coach he hired before leaving what was coming. Prick! Let’s see the NCAA suspend him!

And Coach Coker who was there when this ponzi scheme Shapiro clown was prancing up and down his sideline for four or five years now claims he never knew him or heard the guys name. What bullshit! Let’s see the NCAA suspend him!

And the basketball coach, Frank Haith, who went to strip clubs with the guy? Well he bailed out for a big money job at Missouri (Haith's five-year contract at Missouri pays a base salary of $1.5 million per season). Why should he have to pay for not following the rules? Let’s see the NCAA suspend him!

No it’ll be the kids who will end up paying while everyone else cashes their million dollar salaries. Black kids from the inner city, kids who don’t earn a dime while their play generated the money that pays all the bigwigs. Its the same old story...

Damn, Scouries, instead of writing my typical 800 word stories with no editing, I thought I could fool you by writing two 19,000 word masterpieces, Old Man Gets Lucky with Young Chick and Mother, Sister, Brother Cabin Fever, back to back, but you're just too smart for me.

Of course you “lets keep the status quo-ers” (all old AHers btw) conveniently forget to mention one important fact when you argue against change. And that is that these are supposed to be “Readers Choice awards.

In other words the winning stories should be the most popular stories. Which means that one would expect that the highest percentage of winners would come from the most popular categories. Duh!

Another thing these “obfustacaters” continually do is to misrepresent the facts so that the casual reader is misled. Reading some of the above posts I believe most readers would believe that only a very few categories would allow an author to get a minimum of FIFTY votes. INCEST OR ELSE!

The reality, something darkboy doesn’t want you to know, is that just about every category regularly spews out 50+ vote stories. And not only 50. Here’s a list of categories that have had 100+ vote stories in the past 30 days. It doesn’t look that restricting a list to me. Does it to you?

In fact, if we want to really get to the “Readers Choices” we should up the ante even further! These days it’s a piece of cake to receive 200 votes on a story. We want the most popular don’t we?

No darkboy we know you don’t.

Nor do you want the best writers contributing. Because, once they are (as they do in the A.I.R. contests) cut-and-paste guys like you end up sucking the hind tit. The thirty or forty friends/alts/girlfriends alts etc votes you get every contest story would no longer be of any use. You’d actually have to receive votes from real readers.

Categories that according to you are far below the threshold of your lofty incest category. Categories that according to you have no right to win or even be in a contest.

That flaw is simple, the categories you listed above don't pull that many votes or even views in a two week contest. Great try at slight of hand there but it doesn't wash.

Sorry but they are not changing the rules so you can ban whole categories from the contest. That is your incentive but no one else is stupid enough not to see that.
