As to reading other threads? Most writers on this forum don't even bother to read posts by other writers in their own group threads so why would they take the time to read someone else's? (Unless they're desperately looking for stroke material, of course.)

I have to disagree, I have not nominated any other threads that my friends threads, in fact I've nominated threads that are mine and some that people have written that I don't know.

Hey all. There are a lot of really great writers here on the Lit erotica Sexual Role Playing message board. And there are a lot of really great threads. There are also some not so great threads. I think its high time we recognize all of the hard work that's gone into the really stellar threads with some awards! The final awards, whenever we finally get to them, will be determined by the voting public, of course. This is a democracy after all.

Special thanks to PrincessSexci for letting me use the term "Sexy" for these awards!

There will be several categories, as there are lots of different types of stories out there.

Please please please, when nominating a thread, post a link! That way I don't have to go searching! I'm a little overwhelmed trying to put this all together, and that just makes it a lot easier and helps me be a little less cranky!

I understand that a lot of threads will probably fall under multiple categories. Those threads can compete in each of the categories they qualify for.

Once all the nominations are in, I'm thinking we should have a few different panels of judges to whittle them down to the five best in each category for the actual voting process.

I also think we should have separate awards for hottest scenes. Sometimes a thread might not be totally amazing, but it does have an off-the-hook sex scene that is just totally mind-blowingly hot. I'm gonna need some help coming up with the categories for those, though.

This is totally open to everyone and I hope as many people as possible participate. It's also okay to nominate your own threads. Feel free to nominate by posting here in the thread or sending me a PM.

This will be an on-going thing, and I will be constantly accepting more thread nominations. Each month we'll have open voting for a couple of different categories. This way I'm not totally overwhelmed by trying to do the whole thing all at once, and it will give new threads a chance to get in on the action and old threads a chance to revive themselves. We'll begin voting in April. Keep putting up nominations, people!

This was a terrific idea and I thank you for doing this. There really are many threads out there that are great in their own right. You've given me reason to read more of them.

Thank you very much VampiricTouch. It was suggested to go under "Best Seduction" but seduction is such a... broad topic, so I'm going to put it under "Best Romance" unless there's a better suggestion. Perhaps I'll take the time to read it and figure out if it belongs anywhere else.

Have to say am extremely grateful for one of my threads to be nominated but definately feel there are many great stories here.

It would be difficult to pick just one out of the batch. For me often time is spent going through and reading the material that others take so much time creating. Its not about being part of an inner circle as have never considered myself in a circle to begin with. However, the taking time to enjoy creations in what is considered another form of art in my mind is what drives me most to visit other threads. For me writing is my outlet and when creating something it has to be felt. Every word used is one that would be used in life. Every thought and every motion are indeed ones done in real life.

Good job to everyone and whomever wins am sure its going to be a good choice. Happy reading to all and even more enjoyable thoughts of art expressed.
