That'll teach me to only scan the thread

Actually I have met someone who is interesting. It's just that I'm having trouble shaking off everyone else. I think it's past time I resorted to ignoring and blocking.

brandishes fists

Here's ignoring and here's blocking.

You're very sweet. But if anyone's going to fling a molotov cocktail at that thread and its buses, well it's going to be yours truly. :D

Shit. Now I'm going to be late.

:rose:

RUN FOREST!!!

Ignoring and blocking are two necessary survival skills....

Sorry about the buses - hope the day gets better :)

I endorse this plan. Going to do the same I think. Working random shifts plays merry hell with my body clock. Just half an hour's power nap. Then I might just be arsed to do the laundry and hoovering.

Evening

Hope everyone's nice and chilled.

Glad you had fun geeking Malich.

Sat in front of 'Vicious' with a G&T and a ciggie. :)

And it's morning again... Friday thankfully.

Hope you're all well?

Definately iffy, but will struggle into work.

Glad the geeking went well. Well I have to admit to having a hissy fit with my band and leaving. So disorganised, with 3 hours before rehearsal I had no clue what songs I was supposed to learn, the stress coupled with work got to me and I just called it a day. Sad, coz now I have to find a new band, but I need one who wants to work.

Morning all :)

Glad it's Friday.

Daughter not well and I've felt better so going to try to take it easy today. Off out first thing though, so hoping the traffic won't be against me.

Sorry about the band, Daisy :( but you can't work under those sort of conditions. I'm still recovering from a band splat too - musicians (yours truly excepted of course;)) can be a pain in the rear...

Glad the geeking went well Mal and hope that seven doesn't have bus trouble today :D

See you later

Seven's got a handbag full of molotov cocktails today. Actually since I got inundated by asrseholes I'm beginning to think there may yet be something of a switch in me.

Sorry to hear about your band Daisy, I hope you find another one soon. My ex used to be in a band and let me tell you that even great thumping lads in hard rock/metal bands are no less precious about their artistic differences.

Hope your daughter feels better Lally. My best mate's son managed to throw up on my sofa the other night. I know it couldn't be helped but I've never seen projectile vomit from a toddler before. I was stunned and oddly impressed.

Ok, got a day of admin from home ahead of me, so best I make a brew and stagger over to my work laptop.

Hope everyone has a lovely day. :rose:

Got my professor this morning and am spending the afternoon teaching builders how not to hack their hands off with circular saws or to throw their backs out lifting sheets of 8' x 4'

At least that's the theory.

Well that sucks.

I am sure, however, you can find a host of kindly musicians to fll your roster. IT's that or go on Britain's got talent and ask Simon Cowell to do his "magic"

*shakes head.

Hope it's a quiet run for you then if you're both feeling a tad under the weather. Nice day here in Sheffield so i hope it is over your side too. get some sun on yourself and you'll feel better I am sure :)

My next door neighbour managed to slice through his own foot with a circular saw a couple of years ago. I bumped into him at the supermarket and he insisted on showing me the photograph he'd taken of the stitches before it was bandaged. Seemed very proud - perhaps I should wonder about him....:D

Current waiting for the photographer who is always late....at least the sun's shining ;)

Somewhere, probably in one of the walls, in one of the labs in the new QE2 hospital, Birmingham, is a thumb sliced off a worker that we never did find.

Wonder how often that happens? How many UK buildings have random body parts hidden away somewhere :D

The band is actually not a biggy, for ages their lack of discipline and direction was driving me nuts, although technically they were all very good, I never really gelled, they were way too straight!
I love a band where I can have a bit of fun, I sing anything that I enjoy. Next time I will look for the vibe as much as the talent.

I will never, never go on one of those shows! I don't actually want fame, I just want to sing.

Lally, sorry to hear that your daughter is unwell, hope she feels better.
What is it with scars that everyone wants to show them off?

Mal, how's the prof? Did you manage to get a decent care plan in place?

Seven, toddler projectile is pretty impressive, so much coming out of such a small person at such high pressure!

Has anyone seen MF around recently?

Afternoon all.

I suspect many building have a fair bit of blood in them.

The prof's care plan will be due for renewal in a few months, until then we have to soldier on.

You can ask for a review at any time if his care needs have significantly changed x
