Things that piss you off?

Hi Ej..

Is it just me or is the whole world just F'd up right now.

With Korea, Iran, this thing with Lebanon and Israel..

If gas goes up to what they are predicting I am in serious trouble.

Whats even scarier, it seems we are running head long into another World War..

let's just hope someone finds a solution with merit and permanence soon. the instability in that entire region is headed toward a place that's potentially very dangerous for the whole world.

there's a lot goin' on, no doubt. we can only hope that the world's leaders have the knowledge and ability to keep anything even more dispicable from happening.

who in the hell ever had the idea to put the "holyland" for all three of the world's major religions on the same block anyway? that was just fucking stupid.

guys that feel the need to try to play headgames while supposedly trying to show their interest. I dont do that shit, especially when I've made my intentions clear upfront.

piss me off

Stupid people. People that are so ignorant and oblivious that there are others in this world besides them, they piss me off. For eg....

going shopping in any store, you encounter a slow cart pusher. Usually a cranky ol bitty. You are attempting to push your cart along side theirs to avoid hitting them and having to ask them to move, when suddenly they push their cart into yours, nearly running you down, snearing at you as though you were the evil doer and take off.

no, " Oh dear, I am sorry."

People that pull out in front of you, on a fairly busy road as if their ass end is ablaze then slow the fuck down...driiving maybe 30 mph when the speed limit is 55.

My next door neighbour has decided to start banging...fucking hell its driving me INSANE

WPMO. . .

This was a bad week for my grandma.

First of all, the motor in her lift chair burned up on Monday--leaving her stranded with her feet up in the air. The medical supply shop ordered a replacement motor, changing $75 for overnight shipping. They ordered the wrong fucking motor.

She's been having some problems with swelling in her legs that doesn't seem to be related to excess fluids or anything like that. At her last doctor's appointment, he arranged for a Home Health nurse and a physical therapist to come to her house to wrap her legs and work on her mobility issues. The leg-wrapping has been helping with the swelling, but it's a bit uncomfortable in 90-degree weather.

The Home Health nurse wrapped my grandma's legs on Monday; as she was finishing up, my grandma commented that her left foot was going numb and that the wrap seemed tighter than usual. The nurse told her that the numbness was typical (though it's never happened to her before) and that the wrap needed to be tight. By that evening, my grandma called my mom because she was in a lot of pain.

My mom removed the wrappings from my grandma's legs, and my grandma's lower left leg was purple and the ankle was the size of my ankle (I have small ankles--my grandma's ankles are normally pretty thick). Her lower right leg was almost black  from the lack of circulation.

My mom called the Home Health agency and really let them have it. On Wednesday, a supervisor accompanied the nurse, but she didn't have too much to say.

It took three days for the marks that the wraps left in her skin to fade. Now she has blisters the size of tennis balls on her lower legs. We're not sure if it was because of how they were wrapped or because she was unable to elevate her legs while her chair was broken or if it's a side effect of her meds. They're weepy and nasty. I've never seen blisters that big!

However. . .

On the plus side, her blood count is now normal, so the chemo-like meds seem to be working. She's feeling well. Now if we can get her legs straightened up. . . :)

Oh, Eilan. I scarcely know what to say. That's awful. Is the color in her legs back to normal? Your poor grandma. :rose:

Kinda makes you want to kick some ass. Hard.

People who complain about something REPEATEDLY but never do anything the change it themselves. It's hard to have sympathy for people who don't do anything to help themselves when they easily could.

The color in her legs is fine now, except where they're raw and blistered.

I thought my mom was exaggerating when she told me how big those blisters were. But then I saw them for myself. Unfuckingbelievable.

It's been three months since she's needed a blood transfusion. :)
