i heard this on the news tonight as well. while i totally understand her point of view (and everything that goes along with it) the calm in her voice was disturbing to me.

Nothing can ever make up for the loss of a child's life, but retribution in prison can help with the grieving process....

From what I hear, theres a large prison population that do not take kindly to baby raping! I say let the other inmates at him.....he'll then know the TRUE meaning of "sorry". It just amazes me the sickness of some people!!!! I too would be hysterical....but knowing that justice will be served one way or the other, might...MIGHT I say, help a bit! I hope this asshole rots in hell.

The child was raped and killed on Tuesday and according to today's paper, he's already attempted suicide and been beaten up. He's currently separated from the other inmates and on suicide watch.

Wonder if he'll make it to trial.

then again, who knows? I don't understand a lot that happens in the world. Locally, a woman is under arrest because she intentionally set a fire in her home because she wanted to kill her children, aged 4 and 4 months. It worked and those poor babies are gone. It was announced the next day that her husband was arrested for raping the 4 year-old.

It's a horrible tragedy and I'll be honest, I can't think of a punishment harsh enough.

I hyperextended my right knee at the very end of my workout on Friday. I've been resting it all weekend and it still hurts. My running had been going so well, too--tomorrow I was going to start Week 8 of the 9-week running program I've been doing.
