Did you read the rant on the previous page, though?

I think the worst of it is over. Just gotta get the damn blisters healed.

But we're all definitely happy about her blood count! :)

i made two very, VERY bad reads today. in both cases i should have given my opponent for pocket aces but didn't... easy reads and i missed them both. :(

I have an anti-WPMO: my schizoid coworker, who'd given notice for the end of August, has been let go as of this morning, quite a bit in advance of her plans. I am so relieved. I feel like the other shoe has dropped. I mean, I never knew from one day to the next when she'd sick out and leave me in the lurch. One of the other legals typists is helping me out until they hire someone else, so I will be no worse off than I was when she was there--in fact, better; I get along with this other lady pretty well, and it had gotten to where I could hardly stand to even look at Ms. Schizo when we came into work in the morning. This guy my husband plays tennis with and owns a pizzeria had told us we should come out tonight, since he had engaged a band, so we did, and although the guy wasn't there after all, we had a pretty nice time--we had a Heinecken each and split a calzone. I regarded it as a celebration.

That's why I was asking to borrow someone else's. I don't even have one left, but I need something for this interesting situation that has appeared out of left field.

No love by any stretch of the definition.

Life threw me a curve ball when a man, who I've known only as a friend for almost a year, told me of his feelings for me.

And while I thought of him as a good man, and yes an attractive one too, I (the owner of the iciest heart where men are concerned, hadn't looked at him as a man.

No one is more surprised than I to find that I can in fact see him in a new light. Of course, it's not as simple as two people who are attracted to each other. Knowing me, I'll find a way to sabotage it before too long.

You do to have a heart and it's beautiful! Don't tick me off my twin, just don't.

A little like, a little nub, either one might be just the colonic you need to cleanse out some of that emotional constipation. ;)

You know, some days I just have such a way with words that it scares me.

This from a man with a huge heart.

It's a delightful way to be a touch scared. ;)
