Things that piss you off?

It's probably a bit much to say that this pisses me off, but it's starting to annoy me.

If we're not too busy, my best friend and I meet for lunch/dinner once a week. Lately, on the day that we're supposed to meet, she's been both emailing and calling to confirm that we're getting together. I could understand why she'd do this if I'd been a no-show in the past or if I were chronically late, but that's not the case.

I think I need to remind her that I'm not dearly departed book group member Ms CL.

I asked my mom to write out a quick list of names so that we could get an idea of how many people we're looking at for the reception... She rattled off a few names and then told me that she couldn't think of anyone else... Thanks for nothing.

She'll think of more. Trust me on this. Would be nice though, if you had all the names at one time.

Thinking that ed must have been a basket case when watching Exotica by Atom Egoyan.

You've all been so nice and kept your lists short..LOL

Top thing(s) for me is lies, liars and lieing. I give people the benefit of the doubt that they are telling me the truth as I would tell others the truth, when it blows up in my face that people have lied big or small it is the first step to them leaving my life.

I adore the many pleasent messages and conversations I've had since getting on this board, but I find here like in so many others places, there is that number of people who try to bully. If I send a pic or two to share that's great..don't start demanding more. If I share some details of my life don't start prodding for more personal information. I try to set up clear boundaries but some people think if you are polite and offer the inch, they can demand the mile.

Intollerance. We don't all have to like or agree on everything or anything any or all of the time. What I hate though is the immediate acusations, name calling, blame throwing or flaming that comes with differeing opinions. I realize I am living in my ideaology rather then reality..but a girl can dream!

I also hate razor cuts on my knees, underwire bras when the wire pokes through, drinks that cost $3 more becase they have a plastic animal on the glass, not using turn indicators, nail polish that peals after you shower and the way my flowers always die three days after I buy them even if I follow the directions on the lil packet of stuff.

well..that's about it for me. :rose:

Sounds like you have had a tough day, would you like some tea and cake?

(I agree with you on all points above except for the lies, liars, and the lying, plus a pound & twenty five pence premium on beverages that include plastic animals is a fantastic idea)

SJ: OK, that's just dirty pool.

yank: um...i don't know what you mean, sir![/stolid]

lil squirter: welcome to the thread! most of us tend to use this on an "as-needed" basis a few times/day or so. honestly, if i sat down to compose a comprehensive list, i'd still be at it, and this thread's months old. :>
