I didn't vote for Trump, but I'm not going to lose any sleep because he won. He ran a better campaign than Harris did, and it's obvious (in retrospect) that his campaign did an excellent job connecting with multiple groups of people and motivating them to get off their seats and vote for him. I've never understood Trump's popularity, but it's obviously real. It cannot be denied.

For the sake of the country, I hope things go well the next four years. If they don't, then we're still a divided country and there's an excellent chance we'll see the other party win in 2028.

The key to his popularity is that he's seen as strong and successful. There are those who call him a baby, and fly baby Trump balloons to show their disdain, but that actually underscores how strong he is by what he has to endure.

The visual of someone who, with the lawfare being waged against him, is still standing strong instead of caving at the last moment to plead guilty, is powerful. His detractors point to the convictions as proof of his weakness without understanding how the visual of what was done to him is what makes him seem invincible. The rough and tumble could have beaten him, but the fact that he was in it to win it until the end is what people see.
