Today I learned...

oh man. that's a tough lesson to learn.

Not that I want to make comparisons, but I do hope your catastrophe wasn't too unbearable.

Hang in there.

HE is keeping HIS ex as a close friend.... NOT going so well.... Catastrophe describes it almost perfectly, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to help him understand...

TIL that just because I am one of the nicest guys on Lit doesn't mean I am perfect and that it sucks when I become a horn dog sometimes.

TIAL that I need to remember to turn off my work alarm on my phone so I can sleep in when I am not working. ;)

This is more of a yesterday I learned, but since I was at a friend's house all day I'm just now saying:

I learned that it really can take 6 hours to set up for a party
I learned that it's possible to build a really cool haunted house out from scratch in 3 hours
I learned that in some high schools in the Vegas area you can take Mariachi as opposed to regular band.
I learned that I can go from perfectly fine to rather inebriated in a very short amount of time when in the right company.
And I learned that many of my upcoming Friday nights may include hanging out with this lovely group of people as we all enjoyed fucking relaxing for once because holy shit have we been under a lot of stress lately

TIL that sweaty kid football player hugs are the best things ever.

As are chocolate covered ants.

You both are making me hungry for so delectable insect edibles! Been too long since I've eaten a bug.

TIL I have very limited patience for people who think others not knowing what they know, is inherently a bad thing, and has to be rectified, regardless of that knowledge not being at all necessary for any better life.

I m so happy that company is Me!

Today I learned to get your paperwork together, triple check it's correct and take nothing for granted.

A braver soul than I

Se it as curiosity and rationality, not bravery.

It is only in the so-called Western civilization that we do not eat bugs on purpose, yet we still eat a lot of them accidentally.

Your cereals and spices have a nice percentage of them....

The sugar roasted mealworms were not particularly nice. They had an unpleasant aftertaste, but whether they taste like that or whether they were roasted a bit too hard I can't say.

Insects are actually the future of food.
They're so protein-rich that if you took the weight of an ordinary cow in locusts you'd get something like 3 or 4 times the amount of edible product once they've been processed than you'd get from said cow. Sounds nasty I guess but why is it so different from eating cows?
Plus they've got a tenth the intelligence so no real moral argument against it, cost less to maintain and process, will literally never run out and are just better food sources.
