I just buy the frozen loaves for the most part.
I'm not a fan of baking from scratch.
I just like cooking...

I make sauces from scratch and the stuff to go with them.
I didn't do a garden this year, so all my sauces are deep-freeze.

I dehydrate lots of stuff and currently have carrots on the go. My canner is a 921AA, I love that thing, best investment I have ever made and far superior to any water method. I also own two bread machines, I love homemade bread but the time and fussy nature of the process turns me off, that said, I take my bits of dehydrated and put it through a grinder then substitute one cup of veggie powder for one cup of flour to make a better tasting and different textured breads.

It doesn't look like WD40 to me either, I thought it was more cooked chicken grease.

Oh and I have a deep freeze but no vacuum sealer

Kinda late this year.

Kitten and Newcat are playing Chase The Kitty and Whack-A-Cat. No yowling or complaining.

Yeah, some people's kids. I have done a lot of ladder work once upon a time, and I consider myself thankful to be whole and ambulatory after all of that. It was not without planning. I'm very precise about placement, and I do like those stabilizers when possible. They also make painting an entire window in one setting possible.

The anvil inline 8, the big one, was a way better engine that the twelve banger Lincoln. More ass, more stable, more horses, and faster cars. Did I mention that I'm going to pick up yet another of the one-year-only engines? I'd like to bore one 60 thousandths and port it and then see what it'll do. Twelve volt conversion for the car, a converted starter, an electronic ignition and one of those learns-to-think EFI units. Low restriction breathing. Maybe a blower. Maybe. Should be fun.

Did the One Year only engine from a few weeks back find it's way to the shop or is it still on the target list? If I remember it was worth a drive.

I have 2 at the engine corral Out West. I'm going to collect the 3rd one (and the car that it's in, unfortunately) on the 30th. All my shit is out there, and I'm Back East attending to things for awhile yet.

I'll bring that one back here, and I may yank the engine and see if I can find a machine shop. The bike mechanic likely knows of one.

That, dear sir, will be a damned fine day indeed!!!

Happy Friday!!! Slept decently but woke up half an hour too early. So it goes. The cats are settling in. There's a bit of hissing, but there also seems to be the beginnings of some play, too. And it looks like we're going to get some rain-n-blow down on the coast. We'll see.

There will be coffee beforehand.

Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Suffering follows an evil thought as the wheels of a cart follow the oxen that draws it. Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Joy follows a pure thought like a shadow that never leaves.

It is a good Friday, just not Good Friday.

I have to shop for porch paint today as if it's a life-altering decision.

Hell woman! Grey porch paint is grey porch paint. It comes in the standard color.

They made it easy for you, the homeowner – no picking, choosing, debating, color swatches...,

Somehow, I wound up with the displaced tenant. He's taking up space in my oxygen and breathing my air. Who the fuck exactly does he think he is?

Hah! I see that my new avatar has been approved by manglement. That's just so fucking weird in my thinking. But, it ain't my site, and it ain't any of the rest of us's either.

I got stuck with the displaced tenant for the better part of 2 hours. Good thing I'm wrapping some shit up today. I feel sorry for the guy, but he kinda lives like a homeless guy. I got way more involved than I wanted to, but he needed the he'p. Twarn't nobody but Wat, so Wat got 'er done.

Home. It's rainy. Having a snack before going to see the Friday Night Gang. It consists of my last two maters of the season. Sliced, salt, pepper, and mayo. That's it. If you have good maters, it kicks ass. These are end of season and are pretty bland. Last ones until late June.

Home. Hmmm.

Wat has a guy who has been a lot of help over the last 20 years or so. That guy had a wife and I thought that they'd be married forever. And they were, until she dumped him for some young guy. There was some squawking, but they all managed to get through it alive. Well, until she got breast cancer. She had a mastectomy on 2018, but it was recently discovered to have metastasized and it's all kinda of snarly. Basically, she sounds like she's fucked. She also has helped a lotta lotta people.

I dunno . . . .
