Home. Chez Wat. Bathed-n-dressed and checked out the bike so's I can wander out and have a visit with the Friday Night crew.


Work was unproductive. No plumbers. That's why I got out as early as I did. They may show Monday, but either way, my ass will be outta state on the next job. I reckon that I'll blow town Sunday noon or so.


It sure as Hell will be great to reconnect with the gang down that way and to look at new problems and listen to new whingers.


And they'll get to meet Wat . . . .

No wandering around for me tonight. The monsoons arrived with a vengeance last night and it appears that the same is in store for tonight. While I will enjoy the cool down I'll miss the evenings around the chiminea.

Watching the cats this AM was funny. They were doing the step - paw shake -step -paw shake thing. Took them a bit to realize that everywhere they stepped was wet before they just went, "Fuck it" and kept walking.

Having to do a touch up job on the latest receiver. I got the burr done but am going to wait until tomorrow AM to apply the coating. It requires oven curing and I'm going to crank up the oven while it's cool.

Home from two get-togethers and one ride down the plantation trail. There are at least 14 plantations and/or estates of note along that road. Kind of impressive.


One of the get-togethers was The Baby's pre-birthday gathering. She was awfully darned cute. She's turning *coughchoke* 19 *gaghack*


It's warm, but not like last weekend, and not very humid at all.


I could cut some grass, but I'd rather not, especially since I can save some and maybe annoy the church crowd tomorrow morning. Fucking infidels!!!

Driven indoors by the T'Storms. Precipitation seems to affect the locals brains like alcohol. They start doing all sorts of crazy shit. It's not as if we don't get any precipitation out here, but it seems that it's not often enough that the locals can't drive in it without re-training.

Locals here get teh st000pids like Litsters when it rains.


But it's exponentially worser when the first sneauxs fall come wintertime. Oh my fucking Allah, it's amazing, and not in a good way. Not that they ever fully retrain - they never were to start with. But it's so much worse the first time or two.


Then you get some folks who never make the first adjustment for it no matter when or how many. I was thankful that Dad knew how from growing up in teh Nawth, and he learnt us what to do.

Got coffee and fed cats.
Beginning to get it together to hit the road later this morning.
Back to the mountains, but the new job. The old one is on the owner for now.
I'm sure they'll sort that out in the next day or three.


Got a couple of household things to do befoe leaving.
And a trip to teh Walmart for a couple of things.
Earlier is always better - no church ladies.


They are always unnerved when I holler "Allahu akbar!!!"
