TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

I second the chigger comparison!!!!! One of the other "benefits" of living in FL that I don't miss.

I haven't had one in years, but I also stay the fuck outta the woods.

Considering the kind of housing we renovate, it's a wonder that I don't contract other stuff.

Maybe a septic environment is beneficial to one's immune system.

Who the fuck knows . . . .

It seems that chipbutty and RoryN are in a contest to see
who can start the most (numerically) inane threads per day.

They're giving eyer and busybody a run for the money...

Home/Scrotel13 in the New Place. Snacking and getting ready to shower and change and head inot The Big City to see some folks.

I imagine that we'll graze afterward. We usually do.

The whole energy of this place feels largely better than what is Lago. I spent several hours with the plans and actually found 2 fuck-ups. And found the cause of one of them.

Out of curiosity, I called to see about the plumbers in Lago. Guess who no-showed?

As long as you're in a happy place. :)

That Smith looks like on of the old "Chiefs Special" line. "J" frame as I recall.

Happy Thursday!!! Happy August, too.

When I was a kid, we used to saddle up and go to northeastern Pennsylvania to an antique car show. It was a local meet as opposed to a national one, but it was extremely well attended. It was also an excuse to hang out with granddad. That's been awhile.

I reckon we'll get crankig on the punchlist bits here this morning. I have to find out what the goal is and then we can make tracks to hit that.

Meanwhile, coffee . . . .

My town (the largest in the county) has a population of 1500. And seemingly 1000 garbage trucks that drive around constantly. And being West Virginia, mufflers are a suggestion not required equipment.

I love states with no required state vehicle inspection and lax enforcement on what they allow on the roads.

I'm in Scrap-Iron Central over here in eastern Tennisshoe.

What amazes me is all the roads in close proximity to all the other roads. I have no idea how GPS sorts that out.

Oh wait, it doesn't, until miles after you've missed your turn . . . .

The town also has one of those sweeper trucks that flings stones out in all directions and blows dust out the top so it can settle on my shiny truck. All day long that damn thing goes up and down the street.

The landscapers at some of our projects weed-eat stones into our first floor replacement windows and break the outside glasses.

They'd have to get systematic to get the inside panels too.

They just ain't that good.

Our city hides the street cleaning equipment from my hood for all but 2-3 days/year.

I think when Uncle Sugar was handing out terrorism money, the town must have had a choice between an armored Bearcat and a street sweeper. No self-respecting hillbilly would hide behind armor.

Oh joy, August, the river flood gates are open and the riverboats are on their way.

There'll be no going downtown for the next month.

Tourist congestion.

Oh, and I was awake at 3:15AM Central thanks to the idiot dog, but I was smart and went beck to bed after letting them out.

Bitches.
