TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

Quiet afternoon.

Charging along through one of the new books. Much more historical/social commentary and a lot less engineering/technology.

No weasel casserole recipes, either.

Laundry is almost done.

First stage of the reloading is done. Got them all resized/decapped and trimmed. Half are in the tumbler as I type and the other half will go in in the AM.

Yet again it's threatening to T'Storm but nothing happening in my immediate area. Such is the way it goes during monsoon season.

My watch needs a new battery too. About a year ago I bought this cheap ass watch repair tool kit. Why? I don't know, just did. Anyway I'm going to get a chance to try it out it seems. The watch is 25 yrs old and never misses a beat as long as the battery is up to snuff.

Evening all, three day weekend here and I lazed most of the first day away

Not here. It was a work day. I just go in to play white devil slavemaster.

But the pecan smoke is rolling and the pork chops are gonna be awesome.

The sun is just too damn hot. Had to open the umbrella.

Being part of the patriarchal hierarchy is burdensome. :)

Home from ignoring the masses, oppressed or otherwise. Fuck 'em.

Got together with the Saturday night crew. It was a light gang for supper, but it was tasty. Tried something new, and have leftovers, too.

Burning a bit of the ol' josh leaves for those who need it. Allah has the others well in hand.

Off to read and to hang with the big cat . . . .

Speaking of cats, the one who adopted us, has this weird habit of licking my toes.

I'm not a fan, but she doesn't care.

I goggled "why do cats lick human toes" and got some interesting information. Bottom line: The cat may just like the flavor.

I suspect that may mean that it wouldn't be a good idea to die with the cat in the house. "Ummmm, food."

I did the same, assuming there might be a mineral deficiency involved. The closest I came was that in order to get their sodium balance right they do tend to crave salt if they've had fluid losses.

Happy Sunday!!!

My tuxedo cat is a licker. When I go to pet him, he licks-n-chews my fingertips. He's purring all the while. Sometimes, he'll get me a bit with a tooth, but not generally, and if he does, it doesn't matter. No blood, no foul.

A friend rescued a tuxedo cat girl kitten this spring. She's quite a licker. The friend posted a picture of the kitten licking one of her guests. Perhaps it's about salt, and perhaps it's one more way to get a sense of the person in question.

Hell, I'm not put off by it. I think it's funny.

I like them. They look like they're tripping when it's really getting good to them.

So, I'm thinking of painting my bike. I saw some really slick paint jobs on a couple of spec customs in the HfD store in the mountains. Of course, you have to go through the store to use the guy. And maybe you'd like to have a spare set of parts (tank and both fenders) to minimize downtime. The store wants to do that for you. The set from The Motor Company is $1800 plus tax. My anus hurts.

I think I found a used set in Florida for maybe $500. And I found a couple of local painters on social media.

Bet I can get the whole thing done for less than the cost of HD Gin-ewe-wine Parts . . . .

Collecting spares off of wrecks makes sense if they're just temps. And you can always turn around and sell them when you no longer need them.

Actually, it isn't all that difficult to change all that shit out, so Barbie could add to her ensemble.

Just like an AR-15 . . . .

Got the obligatory Walmart run made.

Went to the mini-storage place. I'll keep exactly three things in there. The rest can go somewhere else. Soon. I don't need the stuff and it'll lighten the economix burden.

Less outgo is damned near the same as moar income.

:D

There's good money in painting HD's. I had a neighbor who that did that work after he retired from the postal service. Before retirement, he rode every day. He had a trike with studded tires for winter. A damn good neighbor as he minded his own biz and put in a filter booth to contain most of the paint odors even though the closest neighbor's house was over 300' away. He moved south because his wife was having a hard time dealing with the weather (and the big C). He always had some cool projects in his garage.

Wat could prolly learn to do that.

And it's quite obvious that it could be lucrative.

And, as accused already  , it could all be done "under the table."

But it'd be done better in the paint booth.

Holiday up there?

Monday is the Civic holiday here, it's not a statutory holiday but I'm off and that's good with me.

Wat, what kind of design are you considering for Barbie?

About to go and make some cinnamon rolls, I could get used to down time.

A day off is a day off no matter what the reason. Enjoy.
