That job down to the coast took nearly a year and a half. Getting away from the city inspectors was a bear there. Getting away from the redevelopment inspector here has been the groundhog day here.

Heard back from my tank-n-body parts guy. He's way cheap. As soon as I can get him some picks and a part number or three, I'll order up some sheet metal. Then it'll be off on the hunt for a painter.


I forgot to buy creamer for the coffee this morning, but it's getting drunk anyway.

I kinda like that paint that fades. I wonder if they have something that goes from orange to yellow, depending on the angle/light.


If not, maybe something in naval orange metalflake.

There's more damn kinds of paint out there than you can shake a weasel at. All of it expensive. The Chameleon colors you talked about are visually striking but don't hold up very well compared to other coatings.

Shaking weasels is an image I can get behind.


I'm maybe less worried about durability than visual appeal. To me.


And it's a bike. I wager a quart does the whole thing. Three coats.


I don't know. We'll see. Nothing has happened . . . yet.

Quality 2 part automotive paint is upwards of $200/gal. Qt. kits will run in the $75 +/- range. Needless to say, that's per color used.
