TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

There was a buck and a doe at my back door yesterday afternoon.

I could not get the dogs excited enough to go chase them off.

Those fawkers are getting old!

;)

Then again, I didn't chase them off either... :D

I like yellow perch.

Today was just full of NO and there wasn't enough coffee to deal with it.

I really need to win the lottery, go to a secluded location with good fishing, foraging, hunting, and internet but months where the road is impassible.

Looks like catching your own fish is the only way to go. Or build a big Koi pond. :)

Thankfully, I have a bog Koi Pond.

I would not eat Koi, they're carp.

I might raise tilapia.

Weren't they formerly labeled as "sea bass?"

Koi is edible if you first boil it and strip the meat off the bones. Then spice the meat up and cook it like you would Salmon patties.

I don't think so. The name "Nile Perch" comes to mind as an early "marketing" name.

You talking about SG? :D:rose:

No, my IRL friend, Barbara. I've known her for decades. She's a delight. I haven't coaxed her into dating, ever. Maybe that's why we're still friends. :D

Home/Scrotel13. Did all the piddling shit at the site to do, what with no weasels.

Doing a bit of room searching online. It's a bigger pain in the ass than the last deal was. Plodding along nonetheless

Decided on Numbah Wun Fuckee for supper. It's dependable.

Quiet night ahead . . . .

I'm thinking I'd get an RV of some sort and charge it back to the company. Probably be cheaper for them in the long run and a hell of a lot more convenient for you. <shrug>

I get an allowance and I'm on my own.

Oddly enough, some folks are awfully slow to respond.

Well there won't be any fishing for a while, Lake Erie has a major algae bloom in progress. Last year they shut down the water intakes in the Toledo region because of toxicity. Also the perch tend to be wormy in warm weather, ice fishing is better.

Dinner tonight was corn on the cob and pizza, I started the corn cooking, the guys didn't know and picked up pizza on their way home to surprise me.

I am starting to like trout, myself. Less fishy for me.

You never know, I'm with a dear friend I've known for over 30 years. Blissfully happy. Not sure how it happened either! You never know what surprises life will throw at you. And sometimes they're pleasant ones. Sometimes. :D

Happy Friday!!!

I dunno, I think I'm just as happy to keep her as a friend, too. Perhaps that's for the bestest.

Should get the subs today. I hope we can get it all done. Correctly. There's a sunny day waiting on the other side of that mountain when I get out of this hole.

Meanwhile, coffee . . . .

It seems possible that much of the fucked-upness we have-n-see these days can be traced back to the embrace of consumerism after the end of WW2. Instead of standing for Something, most folks willingly climbed under the Bootheel of Oppression of Da Man, worked their little 9-to-5s, and bought Stuff

Then Da Man started tightening the screws. That good-paying union gig at GM 50 years ago became stocking shelves at Walmart for a shitload less money so that it has to be supplemented by cleaning houses or offices nights and/or weekends just to have not so much less . . . Stuff. Work more, enjoy it less, make less, unless you drank the KoolAid and got yerself a cubicle job so you can commune with other rats in the maze and feel bad about yourself and not know why. Maybe you have a mouse instead of a boxcutter, but you're still afraid to complaint too loudly so Da Man doesn't boot you out and cut off your cashflow and make is difficult/impossible for you to acquire the latest-n-greatest version of . . . New Stuff.

And Da Man has made is so any kind of trade job is shunned because we don't teach that stuff in school any more. We have, in effect, told kids who like to build things and make things that their wants-n-talents aren't wanted, that they, the kids, have no value. No, kids, don't do anything to sate your creativity, don't experiment with fixing broken things or building something new from something old, play your video game and study to get your cube job and grow softer by the month. And when the new gaming console comes out, and the new phone, get it now!!! Put it into your pasty pudgy fingers ASAP!!! Embrace your Inner Pussy

And what in the name of Allah will you do when the remaining couple percent really and truly decide that they have had enough and burn the whole thing to the ground??? There won't be any more shit that you don't need left to buy, and McDonald's likely won't survive the Revolution. So, get busy to convert everyone in Sheeple so it don't happen . . . insh'Allah that it be possible . . . .

We really do need a good LOL-type emoticon. No, really, we do.

If we were posting on this century's version of vBulletin and had the upgraded (for free) emotie package, we'd have several.

Just one more way we all act like Sheeple from time to time.

Best wishes for your day/weekend . . . .

The man I'm seeing pushed to move in together last year, I have it really good right now though and I'm not giving it up. Sometimes it's better to have friends with benefits.

My boys have been operating on things since they were little, not always things that they were supposed to but they grew into men that can repair most things, cook, clean, repair their clothes. Schools aren't there to teach our children, they are daycares, it's our jobs as parents to prepare them for life.

And that's as phillysocial as your getting until I have more coffee.

I am starting to like trout, myself. Less fishy for me.
The guys did good!

My favourite most recently has been blackened catfish, there is a place not far from here that does an amazing platter and no dishes afterwards

School is a joke. That said, you can't keep a curious mind down, and you can't train a lazy one.

They grow up to become Typical Litsters.

Gotta finish packing and saddling up.

I should have weasels to see today, and miles to go before I sleep . . . with my cats . . . .

One other thing has changed for the every man, it's called investing.

I make more money now not working than I made per the day, hour, week, whatever when I was working. I'm of the first generation in my family able to achieve such a thing. I know that people used to save and set aside, but simple investing was never part of the plan. Maybe that was a side-effect of the Depression years...

If it weren't for investing, I would still have to be working.

Da man was unable to keep me down.

White trash privilege. :D

Home. The house is still here, and the cats, and the bike. Motorcycle. Harley fucking Davidson.

The weasels arrived maybe 30 minutes later than I thought they would. They did great on the first building, started to whine a bit on the second, and I went to lunch because hungry. They didn't I got back and they had given up on crawl #3 - there was a leak!!! Then they looked at #4 and told me to fix my leaks and they'd be back.

Except #4 was dry. All the bosses were unhappy, mine most of all.

The upside was I got a jump on coming home, so I did. Fuck that fucking shit. And Fuck Da Man!!!

Was having a pleasant evening outside with friends - until it started raining. At least I learned how to make it rain.

Happy Saturday!!!

Another way to make it rain: wash the car, water the lawn, and then leave for an outdoor activity and forget your umbrella.

Woke up at one point and wasn't entirely sure where I was for a couple of nanoseconds. The feeling of relief when I realized that I was home is a feeling we should all have, all the time.

The josh is alight . . . .
