It's a heat wave!

Thanks to afternoon thunderstorms, I need to get to working on the pool.
It's picked up a few leaves and such.
 
Most of the world's wimminz have moar bigger meatier balls than Yankee progressive boys.


My favorites are the Russian grannies who helped turn the tide in the Great Patriotic War. Building tanks, driving tanks, sniping . . . whatever it took.


Even the night withes flying junk planes for the sake of dropping a wee bomb, just to make sure the Fascist Invaders couldn't get a night's sleep.

Home. Had a nice outing. Rode the long way home past a couple of the local battlefields. I had a great-something uncle killed at one of them. Hope he gave it out as good as he got it.

The city is finishing up resurfacing the alley out back. The foreman asked me about the mountain of 6x6 P/T ties I salvaged from a job 3 years ago. He made me an offer I don't refuse. I had decided last week that they were surplus anyway, so . . . .

All but 5 things in it got tossed. One is for sale. One I may restore. One I will paint and keep and put to use. One will get donated with the set I already have here at the house. One I am ambivalent about, but it's nice and well-made and doesn't take up much room.

Rather uneventful, and unproductive day. :rolleyes: I was wondering if I should hae been concerned about that but decided, "screw it, everyone needs a "I ain't doin' shit" day from time to time."
 
I'm enjoying the afternoon air out on the deck, in the shade, with a cold beer. There's some larger than normal pops coming from the gun range that's downhill and up wind. Still, nothing to be concerned about. Looks like the tide's in.

Looking to be a nice day out there today. I'll probably mow the lawn and then see what else pops up. Not many more lawn mowings left this year.
