TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

I do that in the fall before I put it up for the winter. Empty the tank, run all the fuel out, douche it with carb cleaner and wallah, ready for next year.

I get the fuel out and save the carb for spring.

My biggest beef is how much water the ethanol draws to itself. Water does wonders for your high pressure fuel pump and the EFI.

The bike wrench says to run regular in the bike (it calls for hi-test) as long as it doesn't detonate. Mine doesn't. Reason being, they sell it nearly exclusively and it has little water in it. All contemplated builds-n-hop up ideas revolve around not exceeding 9.25:1 compression unless there's some serious valve overlap, like 40 degrees or so.

I dunno - we'll see.

Morning Chucker.

My buddy got rid of the boat he had. It had SS fuel tanks and even SS will corrode eventually what with the alcohol being hydroscopic. Bought himself a bigger boat with fiberglass tanks, now he goes after Tuna.

Hmmm, no.

Bureau of Land Management removes long-standing sign from out front of the Bonneville Salt Flats

https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2019/...aily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2019-08-27

Other than the long dark lines that racers follow on their quests for speed and a few drainage ditches, the Bonneville Salt Flats differs from other federal lands in that it boasts few permanent landmarks. That is, after all, the appeal of the white empty expanse. And for now, Bonneville boasts one fewer landmark after the Bureau of Land Management removed the longstanding sign at the end of the road leading to the flats.

As if one needed further proof of visiting Bonneville or a reminder of the records broken and speeds achieved there, the sign not only served as a caption for thousands of amateur and professional slideshows alike, it also detailed the century-plus history of land-speed racing at the site and gave nod to the speed trials that take place on the salt flats every summer and fall, weather permitting, for those unfamiliar with the sport of land-speed racing. For veterans of the sport, it’s served as a milestone, gathering place, and icon thanks in no small part to its placement at the generally accepted entrance to the flats, where the pavement of Bonneville Speedway Road gives way to the salt.

Fucking soft-n-pasty cunts!!!

Just paid my $15 (non-refundable, of course) to enter the lottery for the black bear hunt.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to turn in my Black Bear report for last year and pick up some new tags for this season. No closed season at the cabin, so if I have to kill one for DLP, I can just tag it and not deal with the paperwork and bullshit of a DLP kill. Might as well pick up a moose tag, too. Just in case a nice tender young bull presents itself to me. (No charge for the tags)

Home/Scrotel13/Lago. I'm actually staying in Lago tonight. Insh'Allah that these guys sort this shit out and I get on the road by 1 or 2 tomorrow. That would be sweet.

The AOC thing went fine. I got dinged for a few things, but most of it is just dinky shit, thanks be to Allah.

How unlike a Lago walk . . . .

Decided to wear my Herman Munster steel toe boots to save my Italian loafers from the rain. I'm going to regret that if I find myself swimming. Apparently I'm in a flash flood warning area

Happy Thursday!!! From Scenic Lago, no less.

Cross your colletive fingers-n-toes that the weasels get their shit done successfully and that Wat gets home at a decent hour with a good feeling about this place. Insh'Allah that this happen.

This will be Wat's last stay in a scrotel for awhile. The new housing deal starts Tuesday.

Here's hoping no drownings took place. Managed to sneak past all the flash floods here earlier this year.

Couple of freeway underpasses were flooded out, trees down in the roads, but nice clean air and "only" 79°.

I was up early, I have hot water and I have my tags already :D

Coffee is flowing but there is so much to do right now, September is going to be a really busy month so I lit a dozen candles this morning and I'm sending good vibes out to everyone who needs/wants/hoards whatever.

I hope today is the last time you see Lago in a while Wat.

Off to do some "accessory" shopping at a local gun store. If the chips fall my way I just might come home with another shotgun. We shall see.

Home - Chez Wat. With cats. Lago ain't done. The insulators bailed - they did maybe 90%, and maybe at 85% completion. They left for lunch and nevr came back. I have figured out what I'ma gonna do. I'ma gonna take a weekend - mid-month - and go up there. I'll get a break at the end of the previous week for doctor's appointments, so it's not like it'll be much of a hardship. Then, with no weasels above or below, I'll slither through the shitholes and be certain that they meet my Exacting Standards. Then Allah will cause Karma to lean on the inspector to make, at most, a cursory inspection of a couple of them and then to bless them as Complete/Accepted.

Windows are open. Fans are blowing. It's pleasant here.

I'm selling two vehicles this weekend, and maybe 3. We'll see. And I'm gonna toss some shit, and I'm gonna get a long ride or two in. And I'll change the bike oil and the truck oil, too.

The josh is alight, thanks be to Allah . . . .
