TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

Yeah, magazines and catalogs too. Although that's not a big issue with me. I've pretty well stayed on top of that situation.

I have two flashlights, decent ones, which don't work. Each needs batteries.

Now, I know I have some batteries. Somewhere safe.

I don't buy the shitload package because they'll disappear and the fear is, they'll go bad before I use them.

Aren't these First World Problems fun??? :D

I keep my batteries in the fridge in a Tupperware container. That way I always know where they're at and I haven't had a problem with them going bad - yet.

I could probably use a bigger fridge to get a bigger freezer.

Except I'm not here all that much.

I'll think of something.

You should try one of those tactical flashlights on Amazon. They’re about 30$ and come with their own rechargeable battery. The best thing about them is they’re LED and kick off some hella high lumes, enough to temporarily blind someone at night if the battery is fully charged.

I have 2 tactical flashlights in the company car. They take 3 AA batt'rehs each and really get the job done. I like them a lot.

In other news, the bike is at the shop. The tow guy did a great job, neither fucking anything up nor ass-raping me for the job.

So we'll get it repairs, do the 10K service, do a pair of tires, and get it put on the dyno to check the mixture. I don't need that Fed-mandated 14.7:1 mixture ratio. Get me some motherfucking fuel in my cylinders.

Fuck the rules, full speed ahead!!!!!

Grats on the safe tow Wat.

Back from running around. I got almost everything I wanted/needed except for a screw for the ground lug on a 30A socket. It's a strange size so off to Ace Hdwre. I go tomorrow.

Another hot one today so outside activities will be limited until near sundown. That's OK, I got my shelf supports so I'll be busy redecorating my utility/storage room.

I use masking tape to hold them on the outside of the flashlights.
I also have mason jars with candles and wooden matches scattered around the house to use in a longer outage.

All this running around. Now I'm hungry and need to dash out for food.

Or make room in the freezer for batteries . . . .

:D

The fridge will work almost as well as the freezer.

Shelving up and decluttering in progress. It's like one of those puzzles you'd get as a kid where you'd have 35 numbered squares that you'd have to slide around in a 36 square frame to make various patterns.Stuff has to go on the floor to make room for stuff that's already on the floor but needs a new home on the shelf. I'm neither amused nor entertained.

So very true, until the next major project when everything gets shuffled out of place. I hate it when I do that to myself.

Regardless, I'm done doing anything constructive for the day for the day.

Oh, and re. that 30A RV socket. That screw is unavailable unless purchased in quantity. So Plan "B" is to just buy a new socket and be done with it.

Home from the Saturday night crowd. Had a lovely visit.

Had a long and meaningful talk with one of ours. Looking at a Life change. They're never quite easy, but how can I not be supportive?

So, the josh burns . . . .

Good morning one and all.
Nothing really to report on, just taking it day by day.
It's really cooled off here, so that is a big plus.
I didn't make it downtown for the corvette show this week. There will be others.

Happy Sunday/Happy September. Year is two-thirds past. Parts have seemed long and parts have gone in a flash

Since today's planned Long Ride is out, I reckon we'll get more seriouser about stuff tossing. At least for the bits that can be tossed.

The car goes this afternoon as does a bookcase. Oh, and there will be some obligatory clean-up, too. As long as the cats don't start to get confused, then all will be well.

And it's josh-lighting time . . . .

Good morning all.

Good to see you back SC. Saves us the trouble of sending a squad after you. :)

Minor running around today, need to pick up some supplies for tomorrows quail hunt.

I think that I'd prefer the Frod, quite sincerely.

I don't think that either one would be worth a damn at over 100MPH.

But, as Junior asks, how much time do you really spend there?

So gimme mid-range torque . . . .
