The man is coming to get the old truck today. It looked like a good idea at the time, but . . . .
I got the Bedbug Latter from the scrotel after giving them a bad rating on the review they asked for. I read half of it and deleted it. Fuck 'em . . . .
Coffee here is damn near perfect this AM. Which goes to point out that I need to buy a real coffee scoop. I'm using a Tbl spoon and although I usually get it right it's still hit or miss with the measurement. The few places I've looked for one haven't had any.
Got a couple of rails for the AR yesterday so I can start accessorizing. Just haven't decided on exactly what I want.
Still negotiating on that shotgun but this [ ] close to closing the deal.
Looks like JS is taking advantage of the senior discount weekday green fees.
I think that having a wank is much easier when you get lotsa practice swinging golf clubs.
I have used a regular tablespoon measuring spoon with good results. I use an index finger to strike it level to measure uniformly. The spoon that I add for the pot is heaping. I also have found a couple of 1/8 cup measuring thingies, which is two tablespoons. Do the same with them.
My current recipe is 7 "cups" of water and 4 of the 1/8 cup thingies, all level. It's making me pleased.
And that yields the "two cups" that Doctor Ticker allows me . . . .
Walmart, never looked there. I've checked out the grocery stores and no joy at those establishments. WallyWorld is on my list for tomorrow.
I did pick up another little toy, a TCCY CPX-1, 9mm polymer frame CC pistol. The rear sight is missing so I'll replace that and use it as trading material. I've shot one before and don't particularly care for the damn thing. I'm highly recoil tolerant and the grip is such that it's borderline painful for me to shoot. Besides, I don't care for 9mm either. I'd make an exception if I ran across a Browning Hi-Power at the right price.
Home. Went out with the Friday crew, most of whom are the same as the Saturday crew. While heading to the restaurant, the bike conked out. It seems to be electrical. I called Steve and Julie and they came to get me. We had a lovely visit. I picked up their check and chiseled a ride home. I'll get the bike shop to pick it up tomorrow and get it sorted out. I'll get the 10K mile service done while it's there.
So I guess I can put more effort into unfucking stuff at the house. No, it's more like Minimization. I don't need to keep a lot of crap I have. This way, moving several states away will hurt much less.
In case I ever do that. Either way, Junior will have less shit to sieve through after I kick it, which will be well after I've outlived the GB posters. And Manu. And his overworked and underappreciated hamsters.
Good morning!!! Should be a quiet morning on the road. those that are taking the holiday out of town are out of town of course. And those that celebrated last night will be sleeping in.
Wallyworld has that 1/8 cup you spoke of in stock and it's on the list, thanks for the heads up on that one.
I could use a little minimization around here as well. Decluttering at the very least.
You're welcome on the cup gizmo. I'd be a shit if'n I didn't share experience. In many cases, it's all I've got. So, take what you want and leave the rest.
I like the minimizing idea. Now, I don't do what it says on the person's website about "pick an item up, and if it doesn't give you joy . . . ." I look at it and ask myself if I've used it in the last 3-5 years. If I haven't, then I ask if I'll use it in the next 2-3 years. If I get two no answers, outta here it goes. I sell, donate or toss in the trash. Immune are tools, bullion, and most guns-n-ammo. I have two guns going to my nephew and one for sale. So far. A lot of books have gone out. Stuff I'll never read again, or acquired and have never read and see no way to read. I never thought this house would get as full as it got, and it never will again. Praises to Allah!!!
Brass, a shit pot full of brass. I need to go through it and sort it into what I'm going to use selling the rest as scrap. I probably have close to 20lbs of 9mm alone. (Of course just after I sell it that Browning Hi-Power will appear at a price I can't refuse.)
Tools, a lot of little hand tools, end mills, etc. A couple of well selected tool boxes from Harbor Freight will take care of that issue.
Paints and solvents. This is just something I've put off. I have the wall rails for shelving installed and I have the shelving. I just need to remember to stop by Home Depot and pick up the shelf brackets. Every time I've driven by the place I've been on a schedule and just cruise on by.
Computer shit. Cases, old power supplies, yadda, yadda. I have most of it boxed up, just have to drop it off at the local recycler.
Lastly is paper work. Old bank statements etc. A long session at the chiminea will deal with that problem. Or I can just hook up my shredder outside and see how long it'll take to burn the motor out. <shrug>
I got rid of a lotta-lotta paper a couple of months ago, so much so that I can re-purpose what I had it stored in.
I brought home the heavy-duty bookcase from the mini-storage and the woman who watches the house inquired about it, so I'm taking it to her later today. And she's buying the car.
Magazines I had saved? Gone.
I need at most two pairs of pants for paint projects. The rest are long gone because I started there.
