Twenty Somethings

Hi there! As the title says...this is my first post here on this thread although I have been hanging around here in the how to section every now and then. I'm also in my twenties. I read that most of you are in grad school, and I'm thinking about going myself someday. My question is: Was it tough to get in? Was the GRE hard? What's the best review book? I bought one by Kaplan. I'm in the healthcare field but not exactly sure if I want to stay in it because of the crazy hours I have to work...(i.e sometimes I have to be on call...work holidays or work the graveyard shift). I know that pretty soon I have to settle down and have a family. So I'm still searching for a good master's degree program that will be best for me.
Anyway...just wanted to say hi!

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond China...I've been home for the holidays and I generally avoid lit in those cases. Lets see...grad school. It wasn't easy to get into...but it wasn't hard either. Like college you have to pick places that are realistic and right for you. As for the GREs...they're sorta like the SATs with the writing, reading, and math sections...except there is no calculator allowed with the math part. The Kaplan books are always good to a certain degree...but also, if you register far enough in advance for the GREs...they will send you a study cd which is sorta helpful...Also, the thing with the GREs is that they're all computerized, so everything you do is on the computer and you leave there knowing two of your three scores....

Anyway....hope that sorta helps...let me know if you have any more questions...and welcome the the thread!! :)

Hey My and bio. Good to see you back. Be quiet around here.

Hi Gemini...I've missed ya'll...it's been a crazy couple of weeks. How was your new years?

happy new years to all us young-ens....hope everyone at least saw a little action... because i sure know i didn't

Why dont you try flowers I've yet to meet a girl that doesnt like getting flowers.

If I hadn't had to work at my second job, I can guarantee the only action I would've seen was the 3rd shift security manager throw out a 16 year old girl that came into Wal-Mart drunk w/ puke and piss stains all over her pants. That would've been hilarious.

Of course, getting some really good action from My Own would've been a great New Year's resolution... lol.. :rose:

Still don't have a resolution yet though... sad. I mean, I've done things like, "lose weight", "get laid", etc... and nothing's actually happened. I remember the year I made a resolution to get laid and everyone laughed at me.

Well, I'm tired. I'm off to bed.

Great New Years. I love New Years because it is my mom birthday. So Liquor and cake for all! Yay. I had no liquor this year. Just soem cake. I went to a negihbor's house to celebrate. I'll probaly make plans for next year since my sister wants to go to Times Square next year and break tradition of my mom, sis, and myself spending New Year's together. :(

I have no idea about resoultion. I'm goign to try and keep it simple. I made a simple one last year: Get female friends. i had made 6-7 between RL and internet. My resoulution this year would be to try and get in a relationship. Seems modest to me though I have no experiences with relationships. I always thought I was a bit selfish in my younger days. TIme to change and grow up abit.
