Sometimes it's easy to get confused between the meaning of 'free country' and a 'free privately owned business'. This web-site is not the public square though we use it like that and have a great deal of verbal freedom, but it's owned by individuals and they get to decide how they want to run it. Ultimately, they will be serving the prison time if they brush across the line of the law, not the anonymous writer/poster of a story. If another individual would like to see a web-site run in a different manner, they are completely free in this free country to set up their own web-site and run it how they choose.

Maybe this is just the impetus you need to branch out, start a new business!

why? it wasn't spam which is what that rule is obviously referring to and what i was obviously not doing. it's all about context. dude, was saying he didn't like the fact that lits rules are too strict for him, so i posted a link to another site where he could post his stories without worrying about age restrictions. that's called being helpful.

I think LC was directing her apology post to pointless and not you. But as everyone else has said, the rules of Literotica have been the same for many, many years. Don't describe any kind of sex act with anyone under the age of 18.

I had a friend of mine post a story that took place over several years. The characters were 17 when they first met and in one scene they were at a drive-in movie theater. They were in a van and hopped in the back. She had them kissing....only kissing....in the scene and the chapter was rejected. She removed the mention of their ages and the story was approved.

We may not like the rules, but we have to abide by them. The age of consent on Literotica is 18. Period.

Something else to remember is that the site editors review a lot of stories each day. Yours may not have gotten a very close look. If you believe that your story, as written, meets Lit guidelines, you can resubmit it with a note in the notes box that makes your case. You can also send a PM to Laurel requesting more detailed guidance.

Okay, on your original message, did you copy and paste the rejection message as-is? Because it's formed as a question. If so, the Lit bots probably picked up on the underage reference without there being any actual underage sex in the story.
