It's sad that LC had to respond in some of the ways she did.

1. being new to the board I didn't notice she was a mod. However I don't smoke, so anyone else with the habit can have the cigar.

2. I thought I started a serious discussion, which has raised a few pertinent points -

a) writers posts are "mangled" - viz somewhere.com in 'pointless' advice (I wonder if that's edited out yet - can't be bothered to check.

b) links in other posts apparently exist.

c) it seems that PMs are NOT private from one of LC's comments

d) the world Lit. seems to be living in is not our world - unless of course its based in a mid eastern country beyond the veil - not known of anyone in 2009 sent to prison for posting stories on "kissing"

e) LC says she has two kids - is that terrible "S" word mentioned in their household, does she vet all TV, CDs DVDs videos . . . and will the kids end up as screwed up as some TV religious guru who has his hand in his pants pocket playing ping-pong most of the time, and at others his D..... in someone else?

I'm leaving this subject here, because - until Sensuality chapter four gets approval - there's no rationality in what LC posts or Lits attitude to UAS.

There are two separate issues here, really. The under-age sex thing is just a firm Web site policy that most erotica Web sites make--and that all Web sites have a right to make if they wish. These are privately owned companies--you are permitted to play in this sandbox at the sufferance of the owners of the Web site. The decision to try to keep under 18 material off here is a sensible legal scrutiny issue that the Web site has every right to make--and that most do make. You don't have a "right" to post any stories here, just a privilege.

The other issue is the censoring of URLs. As you and others have noted here, the posting of URLs is done (without being censored) all over this forum and was done originally on this thread as a matter of information to help a writer to get to another story site since what they wanted to write isn't accommodated here. The Web site should be pleased that the poster was being redirected--and there's no reason to think the actual owners of the Web site have any problem with this. Lady C., the usually absent moderator of this section of the forum, does go outside of the bounds of the rules of the forum herself for personal agenda (although I doubt there was a personal agenda here--I think she's just defending a faulty decision). And, yes, she can be about the rudest and most combative person to post in this area of the forum. Not really what a moderator should be at all.

When she has contravened the rules to erase my postings here (not for some time), I just restore them--and eventually she realizes that she's acting alone and on a personal agenda and gives up and leaves them there. (Chances are I'll have to restore this one.)

The Article 177 of the [Japanese] Penal Code puts the age of consent for sexual actitvity at
thirteen (13) years (according to Interpol's current advice to police forces). I would post their site reference, but perhaps not in this thread.

Snooper isn't a newbie--had to change signin names somewhere back. He's Lady C's British backup singer--the one who continually tries to apply British style in answering editorial questions here from writers writing to the American market--and then getting snitty when it's noted that the two markets handle that issue separately.

Both he and Lady C will be protective of "custom" on this particular forum, as they believe they set custom and own the forum (which does help to explain why it's usually so dead in here--all the air has been sucked out of the place).
