Vintage Literotica ~ for friends and admirers

In antiquity, women who had anxiety, mood swings and depression were sent by their husbands to the doctor, who diagnosed them with a disease called ′′ hysteria “. Their treatment was based on a ′′ pelvic massage ′′ with the purpose of achieving hysterical paroxysm, now known as orgasm.

He: "A good countenance is a letter of recommendation"

She: "My patience is perhaps, tired out; for this is a virtue, which is very apt to be fatigued by exercise (and by you staring at my bosom)."

But he does have some manners - he took his hat off first 😉

I think it's really important to mention here that hysteria and manual stimulation for hysterical paroxysm were all invented by an academic who wanted to write a book about the vibrator, but make it more intriguing since clearly, the Victorians were prudes. There's a great article from The Atlantic that is unfortunately hidden behind a paywall now, about how the person who wrote this book had very little evidence that doctors even performed manual stimulation on their patients like that. If anyone is curious about it, here's the link: https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2018/09/victorian-vibrators-orgasms-doctors/569446/

Otherwise, this thread is my jam! :) Thank you for sharing, everyone!
Now there’s a chat-up line I’ve never tried (yet) “Do you fancy some manual stimulation for your hysterical paroxysms?” What do you think, mary? No? 🤷‍♂️
