Wardens of Wildemount ((OOC))

Gotcha. I wonder, could there be a fallen crewmember who dropped some sort of ranged weapon that Jon could pick up and fire at the tempest before going back to the creatures on the deck?

I'm sure the tempest could like strike down/maybe kill another crew member. Like, the thing should be super powerful so it may very well take some other people out. Just have it attack one of the other crew members Veroe has mentioned are on the ship. Then you can get that guys bow.

I imagine that we either one- or two-shot the minions unless Veroe says otherwise. The tempest, on the other hand, is a much different can of worms.

Welcome back shadowlace. Not much has been changed since last you posted I'm afraid.

Posted. I had Jaena take advantage of both guided bolts to the tempest and the mephit Ulrich hit. Sorry if you guys had plans for them.

Siobancan, the elder tempest we skinned in the storm serpent thing in the sky above them is way out of any of our characters league...so we plan on having it there as a menace but will exit back through the portal to the elemental plane of air hidden in the stormclouds above them when the fight is over. Though we did talk about the cleric or Diva'ss using divine intervention to help convince it to go back to its home plane and stay there.

We also talked about it being a recurring villian for us, though not too often as that would only undercut its level of menace to our characters.

No worries here! i'll post again after shadow and desperado, i figure ill go after the mephits so we can clear the deck.

Another mephit down, another projectile in the back of the Tempest's throat. Now only Shadowlace needs to go and we'll be back at the top of the initiative, haha.

With Veroe's permission, I'll be bringing a male half-elf bard into the RP. Do you want me to post a bio here for him? I'm heading to bed right now, but I can post it tomorrow evening east coast time. Then I can jump into this.

Do whatever you like. A question, if I may. You state your location as the Mid-Atlantic. Mine is central Maryland. I am curious if the same is true for you; you may answer via PM if you feel more comfortable that way.

welcome HF.

I believe we started off with somewhere around 8 mephits, Desperado. Though I could be mistaken on that. And we might have only killed one so far maybe. I'm not sure on that though.

to be fair, mephits should probably be 2 hits, cause maths.

17hp on average according to the internet

Nah we rekt way more than that.

We did? I admit it's possible we did. Mephits don't have a shit ton of hit points and you and the others have been wailing on them for at least two rounds of combat now.

I'm in PA.
And when I saw your username, all I thought was gee, had England quieted down after the Battle of Hastings?

@siobhancan99
Thanks!
I read how you got your username :) I'm Irish on my grandmother's side of the family, so I can spell and pronounce your name.

@Everyone
((Way past my bedtime. I should be able to make an actual post tomorrow night--late-ish. Work has been crazy and I have a job interview tomorrow morning.))

(If you want me to tweak anything about Finn, let me know. And you'll probably have to fill me in about lore, etc. for this campaign because I've only played the Tiamat trilogy and some side adventures in 5e, all the other games I've been involved in have been the DM's own world or they've rigged off something so much it was unrecognizable.))

Meet Finn Sommerblood.

Finn is a half-elf bard. Pale skin, black hair, sea green eyes. He wears his hair in warrior braids. Has piercings and a few tattoos. Carries a long sword. His clothes are colorful and look expensive but are travel worn. Has a lilting voice and a brogue that intensifies when he's been drinking. And he drinks a fair bit.

He's not strong. His skills are more suited to speed and finesse. He may look like an easy target to some thugs, but he is far from it.

He's a Harper. But keeps quiet about it. (Does this campaign take place before or after the whole Rise of Tiamat thing? If it's before, he's following rumors, if it's not too long after, he was involved in stopping the cultists. If it's a long time after, then he just has some tales to tell.

He's charming and handsome (by some standards).

He would prefer to be a lover, not a fighter, but he does what he must. He's pansexual, although his taste in females takes in a broader range of physical attributes. He's more particular about others.

His motto: Life is meaningless without music.

He wanders where his feet and the whims of fate take him. He's new in town.

I think you should say what kind of Bard you are. We've had some other bards so it's a good idea to state your type. It also gives a really good idea of what you are going for.

The game takes place in Wildemount, a different world then the Forgotten Realms(that's the world you are thinking of where Rise Of Tiamat happened) so I'm not even sure if Tiamat is likely a thing.

Veroe is the expert on the world info and you can find official stuff if you google. Just ask about what you need to know.

My username is based off the Eagles song, haha. The Battle of Hastings is one of many aspects of history I've yet to examine. But I suppose I am flattered that such a degree of sophistication was assumed about my username :D:D

Finn sounds pretty enough to catch Ulrich's eye. at least for a 15 minute period or so ;-)

Also yay you can pronounce my name!
