Is that blood dripping down the chin of the "Priscilla" in the second artwork? Sinister.

She would not be the first.
Ah, and to catch a second bird with this stone, if she *were* to multiclass - her reqs currently aren't great for many other builds, so she might pick up a cutlass and learn sword fighting as a fighter. Depends, I think, if she's encouraged or dissuaded to do that with the activities of the group.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but welcome to the ladies.
As for having two bards, I don't see there being that much of a problem. Kurdax would be in the mix, fighting beside the paladin and layering buff spells and effects. I don't see him gravitating toward the mind-affecting, illusion style of magic. As I said, he's a Skald and brings the heroes of old with him to stand with him and his allies. With having access to medium armor and Martial weapons as well as Dwarven constitution bonus to HP, he should be pretty effective in melee.
I will say, he's not a particularly bright man (only an 8 for Intelligence), but can hold his own in most other areas.
As for the start of the story, I wonder if we all have leads to something and run into one another along the way. I could see the group growing the party a piece (or pieces) at a time as we all realize we're on the trail of the same thing. I'm not sure who might know each other ahead of time. The cleric and paladin may be from sympathetic orders, but beyond that, I'm not sure.
Thoughts.
Wow you guys have been busy. Great progress made everyone.
I think we need to start thinking that each of our characters or groupings of characters want something or someone from the pirates at Darktow. That gives them all a reason to go there and team up with these other stupid fuckwits to get whatever or whomever they want from these pirates.
Good progress we're making. And "light hearted skirting of the law" is definitely something Jon can work with, especially when it's in service to a good cause. He might be scared of splitting Priscilla in two, however!!
Tusk will have no idea what is going on but sees some adventurers that likely need a little healing and muscle. He'll see if there's and reason to stay with the group after the initial quest. Which, of course, he will.
Should I fill out an entire character sheet since there will be no rolling of dice or comparing of scores?
What I'm thinking is starting the thread with them in Nicodranus and a storm is approaching so all the ships in the area are coming into port at the docks to shelter from it including some that may or may not be revelry pirates. That way we can all recognize one ship and individually try to sneak or persuade our way on board to get what we want from the pirates.
Needs a little more work, I know, any suggestions.
I think the idea is fine. I can see me trying to sneak in so I can, as suggested, pretend to be a pirate and sabotage them from the inside out.
The only thing I would add to it is make it a bit more fantasy based, like instead of a simple storm approaching it is a Sea Fury having a hissy fit. She wants a higher pay from the pirates and they have refused so now she is brining about an unsafe sea way. Something that sets up later story beats, IE. we'll have to fight her down the line.
