Wardens of Wildemount ((OOC))

So that was the spell slot you used. I think you might need to since I didn't catch on with what your character was doing. Though I am not very smart.

I think the problem is there are just so many of us writing different things. Kind of hard to take it all in.

I have edited my post to make it very clear. I will see about responding now to where Desperado left off.

Posted! Diva'ss has now just bumped into Jaena, Priscilla, Verity and Kurdax. The team is starting to all come together!

That it is. And I posted a short response to Diva'ss's communication to Jon. Also, I must say, I find it rather fitting, in this adventure based off of content from CR, that at least one of us is using a class feature that's straight from Matt Mercer's mind, and one he seemed to have used for one of his characters to boot. I refer to the Paladin's Oath of the Open Sea, of course.

No worries! Letting us know that is the important part. Communication is better than leaving us with our dicks in our hands wondering what the heck is going on. (Yes I know we don't all have dicks, it's a figure of speech.)

This should be fun, who doesn't like surprise Halflings!

Also, I love that we are all passengers on a ship instead of meeting in a tavern.

Yeah now we just need to give ProfLittleGiant, Such-a-bad-man, and Queenofcups a chance to chime into things with their own posts. The worst thing is to have anyone feel left out in a group thread. The holidays are complicating that though alas.

Yep. And of course being eager to just move things along doesn't mean we're intentionally leaving the others out--or at least not for me. It's actually a compliment to the thread itself, and its creator. Good ideas beget excitement, curiosity and impatience to see them bought to fruition.

I've been trying to work out ways to use your character backstories to weave into the campaign.

I just had an idea for a villain we can use . She's an oath of conquest paladin. I think maybe have her be one of the paladins that rescued Desperado's character. Perhaps a former romantic interest of his. The problem is she's a religious fundamentalist and a moral absolutist. So she's like a zealot that does not abide any moral grey areas or forgive any wrongdoing.

Also her father was the captain of the ship of paladins that rescued him, and a moderating influence upon his daughter's fanaticism, but he's since passed on leaving her in charge of them.

I'm hoping with Desperado's permission we can workshop her and flesh her out and figure out a cool way to use her in the thread.

Also working on an idea of a rival of Priscilla's from her short time in the Soltriss academy, now working as a volstrecker for the Cerberus assembly. Maybe he cheated to make her fail and that's why she didn't make it there.

Ooo I like that a former fellow student turned Volstreker! One who also knows I am a 'cheat magician' with incredible aptitude. Possibly even on a better level than they were. Muwahahahaha

Also in case we wind up fighting the crew of the Silverpike

Capt. Merrelle Saldea: Half-orc female, 10th lvl gunslinger fighter. Pistol and rifle, trickshots
Eyes of the Blue Sea: Tabaxi female, 8th lvl Swashbuckler Rogue. Scimitar and dagger
Dresdell Crestopper: Gnome male, 7th lvl Eldritch Knight. Twin shortswords, warmagic.
Orreck Halland: Human male, 8th lvl Storm Sorceror, Storm sorcery

Unnoticed crewmen so far.
Jarl Hammerfist: Goliath male, 7th lvl, Berserker Barbarian, Great hammer.
Orrellin Logbottom: Halfling female, 7th lvl, Scout Ranger, Rifle and shortbow.
Danara Veneris: Human female, 8th lvl, Phantom Rogue, Rapier and dagger
Merritt Saldea: Human Male, 9th lvl, Champion Fighter, Greatsword-husband to Capt. Saldea
Eremei Valindesar, Sea Elf Female, 7th lvl, Soulknife Rogue, Throwing Daggers
Averice Hardrowe, Tiefling male, 7th lvl, Drunken Master Monk, drunken martial arts.
Endo of the coast: Tabaxi Male, 7th lvl, Beast Barbarian, fangs and claws.
etc...etc...

Just so you know if we pick a fight with these pirates there's a lot of them and the fight won't be easy.

So you're okay with me expanding and incorporating on your character's backstory like this?

Also if any of you guys have any ideas or even want us to use pieces of your backstories don't be silent. I want everyone on board with this as much as possible.

You have it! Interested to see how it pans out. Also I would like to hope that fighting the crew of the Silverpike would spur the city watch to help, although if it doesn't look like that's possible, Jon won't doom himself unnecessarily.

Sorry for the short absence
I took it upon myself to move the plot a bit. I hope I either difusef any possible combat or caused it. And Merry Christmas by the way!

Having a zealot as a main bad is perfect for my character because they ARE also a zealot. If she saw this character cross some kind of line because of her faith that could be a big wake up call for her as it were. Almost like the character is a dark reflection of what Diva'ss could become.

Yeah would be fun maybe to take later levels as an Actual Wizard, As I am Vidicated!

Hey so I've been dicking around on DnD Beyond and I saw two weapons I'd like for Jon to have at least one of: the Flame Tongue Longsword, or the Sun Blade. And in case this wasn't clear, he would have the weapon in question already. Personally I like the Sun Blade cause to me it sounds like the ultimate Lawful Good Paladin weapon (at least for the ones I've seen so far) and it's a freaking lightsaber. How cool is that??

I understand there's also a holy avenger sword that would be good for a Lawful Good Paladin as well.

But hold off I'm thinking we might come across a vestige of divergence that will eventually become (once it reaches its exalted state) even cooler than the sun sword. It's one of the cooler and more unique things about the wildemount setting and we'll be very remiss if we don't utilize it at least a little.

Also will give the group a good hook later on to explore the dark underside of the Cerberus Assembly.

Any preferences on who this person will be? Personality? Race?...etc...

For the Paladin baddie. I was thinking of naming her Evandrine Dawnspire and her father's name was Halveren Dawnspire.

Desperado, how much of a relationship did you want her to have had with Jon? I'm leaning towards becoming serious before her moral inflexibility caused the relationship to implode, and now she's the crazy ex-girlfriend. You cool with any of that?

Also, ProfLittleGiant, When did Tusk first start working with Jon? We can easily say he was part of the crew of Paladins and just left with Jon when he did? So he'd have history with Halveren and Evandrine and that ship that rescued Desperado's character, though perhaps not anything romantic with her. Would you be cool with that?

Hmmm A female Human maybe. One who was very studious and worked hard to get, one who hated Priscilla for being just naturally aptitude. So she made it so Priscilla was supposedly caught 'Cheating' even though someone knew the truth This woman's' passion and drive led her to sabotage Priscilla for her own gain.

Make her a noble, and dislikes Priscillas' natural intelligence and her poor foreign up bringing.
