I am reminded of a line from a hymn about standing firm against the bullshit storm around here: "a bulwark never failing." I don't know about being a helper against the flood, but there is a firm foundation and a solid structure borne of the willingness not to be grouped or judged or overwhelmed by the negativity and gaslighting.
