Thinking about the asshole who thought it was okay to sneak up behind me as if he was gonna grab me - and thinking that is why every woman, and decent man, should learn some form of self defense
To ideally never need to use any technique - simply to have the confidence to be very fucking loud and clear, so a potential aggressor knows what comes next if he tries another step closer
Genuinely, whatever your age or gender, learn some self defense if you haven’t, and have the confidence to be loud even if you don’t

And to add - I’ve heard it said, learn something so that you’re not the victim some asshole chooses
In reality - if you scare the shit out of that asshole enough, he’s likely gonna think more than twice before trying it on someone else too
(Edit - I know you know, but obviously don’t be reckless or invite shit; but if put in that situation, stay safe)
