I've asked myself this question for a long time. I've been incredibly disappointed in friendships these past few years. You're there for people when they need you, but when you need something yourself, nobody's there anymore.

But I still believe that true friendship is possible. Even long-distance.

One day, you'll find that special someone who will make you believe that real friendship is possible. (I'm saying this loud and clear because I want to believe it for myself too.) I'm sending you all my best wishes, hoping that life brings that person into your life

I think real friendships can exist here when there’s honesty, consistency, and respect for boundaries. In my experience, they're born from showing up steadily and treating each other like real humans - not just usernames. It takes discernment, patience, and a willingness to let things unfold instead of forcing connection.

They’re possible. Just not automatic.

But I have made two of my most true and real friends here - they show up for me when nobody else does
