WFMS...

* Enjoying conversations with strangers.

* A friend that has the strength to take a giant step. Good wishes to you as you begin the journey. :rose:

* Leading with love in a very difficult conversation - loving the person but not the behavior.

* Being true to myself, being comfy inside to just be me.

:rose:

Reading a good story by one of our neighborhood curmudgeons, Sir Droopsalot. I had forgotten how...ahem...imaginative he can be.

Phone calls that make me laugh. Hope it didn't keep you up too late!

Blustery days.

The very simplest things in life feed my soul.

Examples:
My husband leaving dirty foot prints on my freshly mopped floor. For some reason that makes me mushy as all get out, just happy to be a part of this marriage...don't laugh. :)

Hugs and kisses from nowhere.

The leaves changing colors on the trees.

Finding my favorite foods in the cupboard after my husband stopped at the grocery store...just having him think of me out of nowhere is nice.

Hearing a child giggle.

Reading a newspaper front to back w/a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning.

I could go on, there are just tons of little things that feed my soul and make me very happy...

Being pampered by my mom. It's wonderful now, but by the end of the week, I'll be ready to climb the walls.

Hey quoll, glad to see you can make it in for a post every now and then. I hope all is well.

Thanks Scaly, I do manage to at least read a bit of what is going on here before I fall asleep in front of the pc. My hours are all over the place at the moment but things should return to some form of "normality" after this weekend. Brother in law is doing fine, getting good reports from the docs, and once this is all over I can then start playing catch up with all the things that have been put on hold for the last few months. Yeah things should be normal real soon. ;)

Tree ferns........moist gullies........robin redbreasts......... :)

:rose: Warm hugs, Quoll.........

Hugs right back at you.

WFMS...

* Playing a mean game of balloon tennis with my nephew.

* Looking for snowbows today... didn't find any and don't know if they exist but I looked figuring if there are rainbows there could be snowbows.

* Working on holiday decoration designs with my niece and sister - love to stir the creative juices.

* Walking out of appointments with doctors. No matter what is going on I am still able to walk from there, not everyone is that lucky.

* Letting some hard truth fall on the right ears - what he does with the information is up to him.

* Being able to love and offer help to someone dispite how much I dislike them at the moment.

* Friends...

* Love ~ in so many forms.

Wow, and I thought I was having a difficult week. Guess not.

I'm with you on this one, WW.

Good to see you getting up from the table so well satisfied, Cate. :rose:

That's a good list, my friend.

(I'd be real curious to talk to you when you DO feel like talking... ;) )

WFMS...

Reading a book that stretches my brain.

Sleeping soundly, for once.

Having a mom who calls me, so excited about the Christmas gift she got my daughter.

Friends who are there for me.

Thanks friends, even though I'm stuffed there's always room for more - kind of like ice cream. (Peppermint Stick, of course.) ;)

And Mrs.Bob, when I feel like talking to you I will... sheesh, nothing like rubbing it in.

(Damn I can barely see the monitor cuz I'm laughing so hard. :D)

Good choice on the ice cream, Cate. :D

And isn't laughter a much better food for the soul than tears? Even though we all know that sadness and grief are as much a part of life as joy and ought to be felt in order to live well, in my book there is simply no substitute for laughter.

WFMS is the snarky humor on some of the goods available by catalog this time of year, particularly from the ones that seem to be aimed at listeners to public radio. My favorite right now: a sweatshirt that reads, "A good friend will bail you out of jail. A true friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying, 'Darn, that was fun!' "
