What feeds your soul?

If you need it, BG, I have a backup tape with the 30 seconds you missed. I always record Jack for just such emergencies. I can overnight it to you....just say the word.
Seeing the Lit community in action...and seeing a dear friend drop by who hasn't been around much lately.

:rose: for you, GG. It's good to see you.

Not to worry, GG, I persevered and am over it, for the most part. What Cate doesn't realize is that I don't get mad, I get even.

Who am I kidding? I'm a big softie, and it WAS funny. And I'm so glad what she told me isn't true.

You know friends I did wait for the first commercial break. I don't watch the show but was kind enough to factor in the 'must see' quotient to my little joke. I'm not entirely heartless and it must be said that our bg is so wonderfully gullible it's hard to resist her charms. :)

no way! It was every girl... and we also quoted lines from Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club... I wanted to be Molly Ringwold...

Two Words: Jake Ryan >sigh<

My extended family feed my soul...they are everything I always dreamed about when I read Heinlein as a teenager...

I'm glad all is well...but Cathleen, you just can't mess with a girl when she's got Jack in front of her...you just can't! It's sort of like playing a Paul McCartney song on a kazoo.....it's just WRONG! :D

*Edited to add: Hi, Yank. It's good to see you too.

Hey, GG...I was just pulling out my kazoo. Wanna hear my best song? It's "Hey Jude."

Does that include your Lit family?

Alright, put the kazoo away s-l-o-w-l-y, Yank, and nobody has to get hurt... :D

I'd like to hear a little of the Moonlight sonata for bass kazoo and piano, please.

Well, um, that's okay. :)
I knew you'd listen to reason (far more likely than listening to my singing at any rate). :D

Sorry, mine's a tenor kazoo so you'll have to settle for your choice of a rousing rendition of "We Can Work it Out" or a more stately version of "Simple Gifts."

I'm fond of a rousing Sousa march--Stars and Stripes Forever? I'm willing to do the piccolo solo at the end.

Bring it with you and you can showcase your talent while we do the Freedom Trail... then again, your talent might be better suited for the Duck Tour! :p

I can't wait to see you... yippy yahoooooooooooooo.

You will, of course, drive her past the Holy of Holies, right? 4 Yawkey Way, just so we're clear on this. :D

You would have been forgiven if you'd guessed Boston Garden, but the home of the Green Monster it is.

As for Cal Ripken, Jr., not only did he play for the wrong team but you can read about his retirement in 2001 in this article.

I did mention Friendly Fenway today. I do believe we are in the discussion phase. It will be such fun.

Hi Yank!

Hey, Cate. :D

I have great faith that you will be the perfect tour guide. Now...what's the name of that ice cream shop in Cambridge that used to spill the hot chocolate out over the edge of the cup onto the saucer...Bailey's?

I don't know but I will find it! Yummmy

There is a place near me that is award winning - all home made. Heaven. I also mentioned going to Plymouth to show them the Rock in the cage. Then we'll get that ice cream, after a delicious meal at a favorite seafood place.

I still can't believe they're coming. I have the biggest grin going 24/7. I'm not sure Boston will be the same when the two of us get silly.

It's very tempting to offer to come along as the official photographer - just to ensure that none of the stories are embellished by the time they make their way to the pages of Lit, of course. ;)

I do hope you take us up on the offer. Another Litster has expressed interest in visiting with bg and myself... but it's the ''b'' part of ''bg'' he didn't like. ;)
