Peace... I'm glad I listened to myself and pursued that route. It didn't turn out the way I thought it would but I feel peaceful that I did.

I have a travel crate and she stays in my office...most of the time, lol. I'll bring her into my class now and again. She is getting to be very well socialized. My friend brought in her new baby girl into day at work. Little babies are so precious and all snuggly. Well, her mother starts to talk to her and said "Aunt Cym is going to babysit you one night." It just made me feel so good that she referred to me as Aunt

Today my soul is being fed with a cup of good coffee with a fresh pumpkin-chocolate chip muffin, hearing the birds chirping in the trees outside, and viewing a non-profit website for a small wildlife preservation type of unit that my step-sister is a huge part of.

Cymbline, I know EXACTLY how you feel. My best friend's daughters call me Auntie and 20 years later, I still get a charge out of it. They know that I'm not really their aunt, but they've known me for so long and to them I am their aunt. Definitely warms the soul.
