I don't intend to carp on a thread devoted to celebrating the little rays of sunshine that can make one's day. Besides, I've haddock with fish puns and won't spread around any more of them, even for the halibut. I'm sure you'd sing the same tuna if nearly every day here you'd been reminded that putting up with your puns was a tough roe to hoe. On the other hand, someone from Lit once offered to take me out behind the shad and punish me for them, but she skated.

i've been at a table full of fish for the last hour or 90 minutes and have made nearly 20 bucks. gotta love it!

Not bad; that's almost four fins an hour.
i haven't had a losing night in over a week that i can think of but this was the winningest session i've had ever (in terms of dollars per hour). i wound up quitting around 11:45 but if i hadn't been so tired i'd have sat at that table all night.

I got up about 5:30 this morning, started some laundry and had a killer workout. I'm energized!

yeehaw!

i'm dying to hop on the bike today but my grandmother's staying with me for a while 'til she gets her strength back... probably not a good idea to leave her alone just yet.

Glad to hear she is out of the hospital EJ! I hope she continues to get stronger and heal quickly. :rose:

I'm going to get some yard work done before it gets too hot, supposed to hit 90 today. Where was our Spring???

When you find your Spring, please send it our way. We'll happily call it Summer. :D

I think your spring and my spring eloped or something.

We've ran the gamut of temps this week, 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s. We have the possibility of hitting triple digits by Monday. I can hardly wait

I don't think it got to 90 today so I was happy :)

WFMS ~ I got a lot accomplished today. Things that needed to get done that I just had not had time for.

It was almost perfect here today.....maybe 67 or 68. 72 to 75 would be just right.

I'd love to have about a month full of nothing higher than 75. Oh well, at least the nights are still chilly enough to feed my soul.

Ahhh, that would be lovely! Instead, we jumped from 8 weeks of rain straight into high temps. I guess I will look forward to Fall now.

my wife has been getting hot flashes during the night for months now. i think the last time all our bedroom windows were closed was in january.

I'll tell ya, I froze my nuts off a few nights while she was sleeping on top of the blankets. :p
i just hope those nuts don't "give way"... quoll might damage another finger.

i think the term "bun warmer" means something different in australia.

Open your bun warmer flat, and push the center (upside down) into your container.
Fill with rolls, toast, cookies, whatever, then fold the 4 flaps over.
It is best not to butter anything first.
Grease is one of the hardest things to get out.
Tip: place a nice paper napkin in the bun warmer, before you add the goodies.
See "Helpful Hints" for washing tips.

Many people have told us that they use theirs as a doilie (the unusual shape makes it interesting).
Some have figured out a way to make a collar out of one.
Occassionally we find the pocket type that holds individual rolls.
Look out for these.
They don't hold the warmth in as well, but they look great.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA
