After they left we both said it feels like we have been holding our breaths for over a week.
As a side note it's good to have AVs back on, I think I actually missed seeing your little friend. :D

it's actually chilly here this morning... and i think it's getting colder than it was at 7am (now noon).

i'm diggin' it!

I really like my Sat mornings, a 20 min drive into town, an hour or so of deliveries, then checking out all the garage sales and a bit of time to myself just pottering around the depot.
Catch ya later.

watching pseudo-porn on cinemax during this free preview weekend. :)

oh... watching pseudo-porn on cinemax while playing poker, i should say.

no no no... watching pseudo-porn on cinemax while playing poker and reading/posting at lit! THAT'S what i meant to say!

This must be a foreign phenomenon (on the theory that California is actually a foreign country that is merely geographically allied to the U.S.) because I have yet to find a place where I can buy a yard, much less one that is on sale. My grass is in terrible shape and we still can't grow anything in the spaces that were left over when several large elm trees had to be removed a couple years ago.

I would have to say music...but then again silence can feed my soul to. Just time to be alone with myself and my thoughts.

this was REALLY weird...

i went to the mailbox tonight to get the mail. on my way back home someone called to me and when i looked over there was an elderly man sprawled out at the bottom of his outside steps. he'd taken a bit of a tumble and thought he may have broken his hip. we went inside, called an ambulance and i waited with him until they showed up.

here's where it gets weird... we were talking while waiting together and, long story short, we're related! lol. i can't remember specifics but i THINK it turns out that one of his parents was the brother or sister of my father's mother. he knows most of my mother's side of the family as well. he's lived here since 1976 (just a few years after my uncle finished building this development) and i NEVER knew him or that he was here... and he lives, literally, right around the corner!

I could give you some of my dandelions and weeds if you want.

Driving down the highway with the sun bright and shining, windows and sunroof open with good music blasting. I don't know why this feeds my soul, but it does.

Watching my granddaughter walk...and laugh.

Watching my son (her Dad) and just feeling this overwhelming pride.

sweet talker is a euphamism for bullshit artist, isn't it? :D

seriously though, i DID mean that i was surprised... i only have so much to go by but you don't look like you'd be a grandmother.

in any event it's great to hear of the joy you get from her... be sure to update us with other stories in the future. :)
