I think the purest way to be a fake submissive is the same as the answer I proposed in the Fake Dominant thread. A fake submissive is a person who does not enjoy or desire submitting, and purports to. Or at least doesn't desire it as much as she purports to.
Also, any sub that doesn't do what I say.

Not in the "profile says 30, but they are 33" way (profiles don't necessarily auto-update ages) but in the they say "I'm 32" when in fact they are 45 way.
...someone who claims to be a submissive, but is, in fact, a "do me" bottom who's long list of things they need in order to "submit" are not "NEEDS" but a shopping list of fetish "do me's" so they can get off.
...someone who claims to be a submissive, but is doing so because they are desperate to find someone, ANYONE, to claim them so they won't be alone.
...someone with such low self esteem or self confidence that they are incapable of functioning on their own. They are a "submissive" because they can't make a f'ing decision and want someone else to do it for them.
...someone who tries, constantly, to "top from the bottom". That is to say, uses deceit, manipulation, emotional blackmail and other dishonest, inderect ways to try to direct their dominant partner into actions or directions the "submissive" desires. I was actually thinking of starting a thread asking but I'll ask it it here: is the submissive who is not that submissive in the relationship per se, but is totally submissive in the bedroom, where BDSM acts occur, still a sub? I assumed yes but someone recently told me no. Also, is this a common thing, or fairly nilla?

There used to be an old school ( not old guard ) approach that submissives fell within three main groups.
The sexual submissive whom as you have stated desires to submit within in the 'bedroom/against a tree/PYP pick your place/position'. Occasionally a person whom would be more appropriately 'labeled' a 'bottom' is swept into this category.

No one can accuse you of pigeonholing anyone. And like you, I would never label others either. For one thing, I know very few people on this site, personally. That alone makes it impossible to pigeonhole someone.
Others, however can use labels as they so wish, regarding how they see themselves. I can label myself, too and will. Like you, I'm a natural submissive or lifestyle sub... whichever someone prefers. I do not however, submit to just anyone because they SAY they are a Dom/me. That's simply dumb especially in an online community.
But then, I also think that being less dumb comes with maturity, and that does not neccessarily age. ;-)

The closest thing to a "fake" submissive I have experienced are the men who become verbally abusive the minute you tell them that you are not interested.
