Look, I've maintained relative peace with ADR after she suddenly decided we were enemies when I became a moderator, and while not wanting to aggravate things, I feel the need to "stand up" too.

ADR consistently makes passive-aggressive attacks on people in an attempt to incite them into flaming her. Then she can play the victim and receive attention pretty much the only way she knows how, through sympathy.

How often have we seen this?

ADR: "Oh it doesn't matter, nobody likes me...."
Good Samaritan: "Stop it, we love you ADR! You're one of our favorites!"

Enough already.

A poster who doesn't even come here often asked for info on Gorean and got it. How about we show him some fucking respect by contributing to his discussion or pissing off.

ADR, at this point I'm sure you're contemplating a temporary "Leaving Lit forever" so everyone can send you wonderful PMs begging you to stay, rejoicing when you return and making me look like the bad guy.

Browse through the thread archives and ask yourself if you think I give a fuck.

As a Moderator of this section of lit I understand your comment in encouraging some of the long time posters to treat new people with a bit of common respect. I am also aware that as a moderator you also have the right to express your opinions same as anyone else. However, making direct statements of such a negative personal nature towards one of the long standing members here at Lit in my opinion is crossing the line.

Its one thing to encourage others to show respect to others, its another to disrespect someone intentionally as you have done. so if you aren't going to practice what you preach in showing common respect to both new and old members alike, then maybe its you who should just STFU.

I do not disagree that ADR pressed this a bit and I think she got the backhand of the OP which was ample between the two of them. Big woop....I don't see how this is any justification to warrant you insulting ADR as you have done or the degree in which you have.

Maybe if you don't give a fuck....then that says it all right there.

Sorry, no I don't Shaq, what I would do if I were you tho' is a search on the web under "different styles of Domination"and see what you come up with. Agreed, but I never said anything about "common" respect, certainly not in the context with which you seem to be using it, one of treating everyone with respect all the time. I promote treating people with the respect they deserve.

Shit man! You're right. I got the same sorta thing in a series of private messages from her. The thing is that I didn't have any issue with anything she said, but she still came to me figuring I was "calling her out".

Oh, but on the topic at hand, I sorta agree with the Klingon to sci-fi analogy with regards to Gor. I try to give people the benefit, but it is rather silly to me. The aspects of Gor that I have seen all remind me of a cheesy barbarian action film from the 70s.

Now, I wouldn't have that big of an issue with Goreans if they did their little thing and that was that, but I'm going to take exception when they practise it outside the home and complain to me that I'm too linient on my "slave" for letting her speak on her own around others. Also, for guys who are trying their damndest to look the part, these guys are some of the scrawniest mofos I've seen. They got a mouth and like to talk about being all that, but they have little to back any of it up with.
