LOL, I think you will find most places where the people who post are into more than internet/online BDSM only, that the Gorean lifstyle concept if thought of as a bit of pretentious myth by those who live in fantasy more than reality. For example, on another forum I have visited, I had one so called slave who does the whole third person - slashed grammar thing insist she and her Master are Gorean to the core and that she goes to work with him almost everyday and sits under his desk or on the floor of his office naked and chained to his desk and that his boss thinks it is 'adorable'. Interesting given they live in the US and work for one of the biggest IT companies worldwide...I hardly think it is reality though I am sure it gives her plenty to wank to when she is bored. Basically, if you follow the books to a tee, you are going to find living in this society is just not going to be doable.

Concerning the Goreans: I am (mostly reading) the forums over at collarme, after a kind of cycle developed at the General BDSM discussion board, where new Goreans came along, and flame wars broke out between the Goreans (including longstanding members of collarme) and the BDSM people the Moderators over there decided to create a gorean message board. I read there some and into their books too and i really dislike ( to the point of hating) their ideas. Because in their eyes only men are strong and can lead and have to make all important decisions.

I once made a post over there where i classified the Goreans as a sect, so i think that the comparision with Scientology is a good one.

But what totally puzzles me at the Gorean board, is the number of highly intelligent people who participate.

I originally came just to "talk." Gorean interested me at the moment.

Then I became more interested in how that chick decided to criticize me for something minute instead of just shaking her head and walking off.

And I became interested in each of you.

The Gorean was only the subject I wondered about at the moment. More interestin are the people in this part of the lit world.

ALL my insults are out of hand. I don't have love taps or spats. If she doesn't like how I spoke with her, she can walk her way and I'll walk mine but I'm not going to coddle someone who goes out of there way to discredit a simple question and then passively try to persuade others to do the same.

On the other hand, if you go around swinging swords like Conan all fucking day, I think you'll find that your moments of aggression lose a lot of impact. This is a good start, but maybe it's time to step your game to another level. Since this is the BDSM board, I'll use a BDSM analogy.

Whether it's maintaining control as the dominant in a relationship, or utilizing pain in a way that is effective, a lot is achieved by varying intensity.

A good spanking (the prototypical BDSM activity), for example, can be administered in a lot of ways. I can start off slow and easy, gradually getting more intense. I can start off hard and vicious, gradually petering off as the shock value decreases. These are all good ways to do it, but steady smack-smack-smack-smack spankings (as I imagine a lot of vanilla guys attempting) are boring and make little impression on the bottom.

Better off to start rubbing the ass gently, then a few slight smacks, just to see the ass jiggle a bit. Then you can cup your hand slightly and increase the pressure and slowly increase the speed.
