I don't think it's a totally new thing. In my 20s, I dated a guy 15 yrs older and another 20 yrs older.

I would tend to agree with you that I don't think it's a new thing either. I'm a very senior man who keeps himself fit and healthy...I like to groom myself and I dress nicely (I believe lol). There is a certain appeal that older men have that is attractive to certain younger females although I also believe that as females age they also become a little less inhibited as I have noticed more than a few "older" females flirt with me...and yes, I do like it whether the female is young or old, I enjoy being shown that level of attention ...again, is it something new? I have had more than a few younger woman smile and flirt with me. In my mid 40's it was easy to attract the eye of a younger, late 20's or so, woman. I had no luck attracting women in my 20's or 30's but by my 40s the door to women opened wide. Lucky me.
