What little kindness did you today?

I would like to think that I helped someone at work today, I think I stepped in at the right time, and helped the situation.

I know I made someone smile today, that always makes me smile as well...

Friday night, I stopped by my neighbor's unit to check on her. Good thing I did. Her back was giving her issues. I massaged the troubled area and put a lidocaine patch on for her. It was in an area she could not comfortably reach.

She's 70. The elderly are some of our most forgotten about individuals who need help and are taken advantage of the most. Healthcare plans give me issues. Just think of how it is for mature adults.

It disturbed me when a mature gentleman living in my building was dead for 2 or 3 months before anyone noticed a few years ago. I latched onto this neighbor as a result of that. She's the oldest resident in THIS building.

It is very disturbing when people are found days after they've passed. You get a gold star for the day!

I helped a couple who were "lost" in the mountains. They knew where they were, but were from out of state and didn't know where they needed to go.

You are such a dear heart . Looking out for the elderly (friends or not) is not a surprise at all for such a caring person as you.:rose:

The most I did today was to leave a good tip at a restaurant.:)

Thank you for the acknowledgement but my purpose of writing was for any soul reading it, to look at your neighbors. Whether in a house, apartment or condo, young or old, you never know what challenges people may face. Some may need a friend. Some may be incapacitated and need help.

2 years ago, I was in the hospital. No one visited me. A sibling brought me home, but no one came over to help me. Daily chores some take for granted, I couldn't do. I went without. That is a hurtful position to be in.

I shared my lunch with a homeless man today. That was maybe one of the more heartbreaking hours of my life. I’m seeing him again next week I hope.

That is beyond awesome. Most people will give a few dollars as they pass, if they give anything at all and hope their eyes don't meet. You spent an hour and are looking forward to seeing him again. That's the milk of human kindness right there. You set the bar pretty high for the rest of us.

This morning I comforted my boyfriend knowing he had such a stressful week and knowing he has to go back into work again after his vacation. I told him to message me if he needed me. I always want him to know that he can count on me.

Hmmm, I paid for an elderly couple's lunch so maybe that counts.

Paid for my mother-in-law's dinner last night, she took us out, but we wanted to pay the bill. She was happy, but not without a "Why" I'm happy about it...

I usually have to trick my in-laws so I can pay. Got the stink eye last time but I prefer to reward them for raising such an amazing woman.

Awww, what a nice thing to say

I did it because she is an amazing woman, and it was the anniversary of her husband's death, we just wanted to support her in any way we could, she wanted to pay for the family, instead we ended up paying for her....plus, my husband is an amazing guy as well.

:)

Hmm.. i rescued a cat that got stuck on a ceiling cable tray. No idea how he got there. He is fine now. I guess.

I just spent the weekend helping out a couple who live about 3.5 hours away, that we had never met. My wife and I drove there on Friday afternoon, helped out, and then drove home this morning. I would prefer not to say what we did for them, but they turned out to be the most friendly people you could hope to meet. The drive and the weekend was worth it to make new friends.

I stopped traffic so this little kitten didn't get hurt...

Helping animals counts. I hit a dog that ran out in front of my car once, and felt terrible about it for a long time. There was nothing that I could do, but it still felt like my fault. In addition to saving the kitty you probably saved somebody that experience too.
