*hanging the gold medal around your neck* Congratulations, those weeks are the worse but it makes you appreciate the effort it took to get there at the end :)

Thanks! I'm a bit zombified, but also proud. There will be NOTHING else on my to do list tonight except maybe perfecting a golden crust on a molten marshmallow for my first summer fireside S'mores. Maybe. :)

Now that just sounds like the perfect end to the week :) Enjoy and make sure you toast some for me :)

We were doing some spot cleanup this morning, and I retrieved a pouch that my daughter last borrowed for a big SCA event we attended a few months ago. I felt something inside, which turned out to be her "safety kit" with a few condoms and a tiny tube of lube. LOL

I handed it to her and she turned adorable shades of pink, and retaliated with "well, there was the Outlands encampment and you know how they are." Cracked me up. She's 23 and still a virgin (by her own choice, she says she has standards...we won't do the mental gymnastics required to parse that along with the Outlands comment, though).

I told her that, as her mom, I'm both delighted and horrified. :D

Watching my dog running - for the pure joy of running - on the beach this evening.

Six months ago she was like the walking dead. God bless Soloxine

while reading an article about the "50 shades of gray" and how it has caused an increased interest in bondage and sex toys, Master turns to me and says, "We were kinky before kinky was cool."
Had me in tears laughing!

I found my cats favorite ball. It's fluffy and purple. When she saw it, she freaked out and started doing flips in the air with it. Pretty much made my day.

In two days, it's my one year wedding anniversary. :)

I won't mention what I've got planned though, because I know the wife comes in here occasionally, and it's secret. ;)

I love it when really good things happen to kind and generous people. That's happened to a few regulars on this board recently, and it puts a spring in my stride, like a man with a shoeshine, a clean windshield and a belly full of steak.

I created matched pieces of artwork for friends for a special occasion. At the time when they were presented things were rather hectic and there wasn't much of a reaction. I've been holding my breath since the weekend to find out whether I hit the mark or not (we had talked about the objectives before I went to work on them). I learned today that I did succeed, and that they're quite pleased! My mentor was especially pleased, as well. Whew and yippee!

I'm 28, and today when I went to buy a bottle of wine, I got carded. The legal age to buy alcohol here is 18. Soooo... I still look under 18?

I also bought new glasses today. I did't get carded for that.

ETA: I just remembered, that I got carded last summer as well in the same booze store. That's also the last time I've had to show ID anywhere, except at the airport. Strange.
